Exactly what is the upside in Republicans continuing to promote the agenda of a "pResident" who has been rejected by the voters?

Will the GOP continue to be dishonest brokers? Of course they will. But the only way they can survive as a party will be to advance the issues important to their own voters - and that means compromise with the Democrats under a Democratic president.
