New Jersey gave the world musicians like Frank Sinatra, Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon, Whitney Houston, the Shirelles, Count Basie, Bon Jovi, Queen Latifah, Sarah Vaughan, the Four Seasons, Dionne Warwick, Fugees, Bill Evans, George Clinton, Kool & the Gang, Clint Black, Wayne Shorter, Blues Traveler, the Smithereens...I could go on. And I could give an equally long list of actors and other significant people. Oh, and the state is doing great right now, despite having to foot the bill for a lot of deadbeat Red states.
