Republicans weren't always a crazed wingnut party. Somehow, they must cleanse themselves of insane people. Fox "news," hate radio, and hate online sites will make that difficult. Yet, it must happen if democracy is to survive.

I don't know if any of us will see a sane opposition party in our lifetimes. Yet, an opposition party is a necessity.
