but it's hard enough to get people to vote when they don't fear for their lives, and the primary obstacle is how long it takes.

we are voyaging into uncharted waters. the rules, such as they were, are on the verge of no longer applying. we are testing the worn fabric of a sharply divided society. let's hope it holds.
