Thankfully I spent the week in NYC and I have to say it really lifted my spirits. I know there are a lot of bad intentioned racist folks there too, but for the most part it just felt good to immerse myself in a sea of humanity and diversity and you could feel the shared nature that everyone is just getting through life together even if not always on equal planes.
