9. This was a bill to expand the existing "Educational Tax Credit"

program that lets companies and individuals donate to private/parochial schools and get a tax credit for it. This bill wanted to double the credit from 100M to 200M. Since Dems picked up 6 seats in the state senate, the Rs no longer hold a supermajority there nor do they have one in the state house. So this bill was for show only.

Here is an interesting tidbit that few Pennsylvanians know. These type tax credit programs are issued on a first come, first serve basis and usually are used up just a few weeks or even days after they become available! Once the money is claimed, that's it, wait 'til next year.
