Because you have banks in every state and the defense industry in nearly every state

Sanders and the defense industry in Vermont
Harris and her accepting money from Steve Mnuchin
Gillebrand and banks in NY
Castro and oil/gas maybe? (hard to avoid in Texas)
Pharma and Biotech are big in the Boston area, and I bet I can find some donors to Warren that are employed in those industries
