We have ALWAYS had to work toward a more perfect Union. Always. We move forward and the institutional powers against progress ALWAYS fight back. Always. There are ebbs and flows. We move forward, they take us back. But, in the long arc of history, we have moved forward. We are at a point of moving backward, but that does not mean that we quit. Abolitionists didn't quit, Civil Rights leaders didn't quit, Suffragettes didn't quit, Environmental activists didn't quit, Unionists didn't quit. We don't QUIT. EVER. We organize, we work, we vote.
During the Obama campaign, volunteers always reminded each other that we have to win big enough to overcome R tactics. We have to win big. Your vote matters. Every vote matters. Vote and convince 5 friends to vote for Dems. That feeling of not having any control will only be helped by being actively engaged to turn out the vote for Dems.
