what he's saying is that donnie's case is markedly worse than nixon's, but it doesn't follow that today's congress is capable of impeaching a president that manifestly deserves it.

no president has even been impeached by a congress of the same party, even in less partisan times.

many republican representatives are in heavily gerrymandered, very safe districts and as such, the general election is a foregone conclusion, so only the republican primary matters. and there, opposing donnie could be political suicide given how rabid his supporters are. same goes for many red states.


it's always tough for a party to remove its own leader, but it's particularly tough for republicans under the present circumstances.

this is why donnie's getting away with murder.
