(4,033 posts)5. I used to live about 40 miles north of Fresno, up in the Sierras.
The Fresno Bee was 'the' newspaper in the whole area. Fresno is to far north of LA to really care, to far south of SF/SJ to really care, and there is nowhere else close. As the famous quote normally attributed to Mark Twain goes, "Never pick a fight with someone who buys their ink by the barrel and their paper by the ton".
That editorial is gonna leave a mark.
