But its time for new blood. If nothing else, the public needs to be shown that the party is evolving. Plus, all that mud dragging of her good name has left some marks, not unlike Hillary herself, and even though unwarranted, it has stuck with many on the fence.

I don't particularly value what comes out of his PNAC piehole in general, but he is giving some good advice on that issue. I think he wants to defeat Trump and Trumpism more than anyone. And is only suggesting it because it would help towards that goal. Long term, of course, he wants a more moderate Republican majority again.
