...have spent nearly two generations driving them out of the party.
Always remember the Movement Conservatives goal: restoring the Gilded Age, where titans of industry had a fee hand to simply step on little people who got in their way or cont stead their absolute right to squeeze blood from a turnip -- and as far as they're concerned, you are a turnip.
Who has spent the last 20 years sneering and jeering at "European socialism"? Conflating our allies' social policies with Warsaw Pact police states? He very same people.
