It's hard to believe, and unconscionable, that this sort of thing is happening in AMERICA. How easy it is to get sheeple to go along with cruelty.

Once a coworker said to me something about the reason for torture or some other unAmerican activity (maybe it was surveillance w/o court order) that it results in good things for America. There's a reason for them.

I responded that of COURSE there's a reason for the unAmerican act. There is ALWAYS a reason. Otherwise, the people wouldn't go along with it and the govt wouldn't want to do it. But that's an explanation...not a reason for our country to behave in an unAmerican way, whether invasive of freedom of privacy or cruelty.

Like the line in Apocalypse Now: The horror, the horror.

I'm also worried about smaller children being "incarcerated" with larger ones, & getting picked on. I'm also worried about long lasting psychological damage to the minors.

Did we learn nothing about when we incarcerated the American Japanese during WWII?
