twice in plain hot water to start the cleansing process . Some of the Bargain or Generic Laundry Soaps carry a high animal fat content,and the dryer bakes it on big time. As well as fabric softener sheets and liquids. The Goddess of the House uses two cups per load. The towels will regain their absorbency more and more with each wash. Plus,no more soap smell in the Washer or from the drain. BTW,splash a cup of and Vinegar in the Hot Water. Increase the Acidity in order to cut the grease build up on the fabric.

We sure miss the days of line drying of linens. Especially Towels and Jeans as well as Sheets and Pillow cases.
