when I was doing something that RIAA and my cable company would prosecute me for now...in Napster days.

Some people here (stateside) may be surprised that "oldies"; classic, hard, soft R&R, R&B, Disco, Funk, etc. are or were much more appreciated in Europe than here.

Before it occurred to the RIAA and record labels to offer this music via modern technology and one couldn't find oldies at the big box stores (which you really couldn't), you could always, always ALWAYS find it from someone's collection on the internet and more than likely it was someone from overseas who offered biggest and best collections of it.
