52. I was gob smacked when I read that 53% of white women voted for this vulgar man.

I read a recent article on it. Wish I'd bookmarked it. But it said that they basically vote with their spouse/SO because they identify their personal well as being tied to the spouse/SO. We like to think that all those racists who marched in Charlotte don't have many women in their lives, but they do. The ladies just knew that that wasn't their place. But there are dozens of accounts, online, of badly behaved white women in retail stores, calling out loudly & obnoxiously, to darker skinned people, telling them to go back to their country. My friend saw it at a local Target & we live in a very progressive community. It's a sad state, this country, but considering our beginnings, is anyone surprised? I'm going to go off topic & say that I think a big part of the climate denial movement is mostly powerful white men refusing to believe/admit that it is their predatory/patriarchy ways that are about to destroy everything. It's hard not to be consumed with loathing toward them.
