(102,225 posts)10. While GD and LBN remain the popular forums, today's DU is a bit like cable v network tv
of earlier times-- we are pretty dispersed among the many groups, forums, and subgroups.
Less trust, too as the site has gotten larger and "trolling" has become more targeted and determined...
More divisiveness than earlier years, though I find that cyclical and there are times when we all tend to come together "watching" an event, for instance such as occurs on election nights in GD.

I first posted in 2004. It seems pretty similar in many respects, at least from my point of view.
