TSExile's JournalAbout these political ads...
I thought that political ads were not supposed to run on Election Day. Yet, in Ohio, we are STILL being inundated with Issue 1 ads. ENOUGH ALREADY!!!
The best part of Morning Joe...
...is seeing Mika's eyes completely glaze over in boredom when the guys yammer on (and on) about sports. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What's the deal with Stephen Colbert???
I am thrilled that he and the other late night comics are back. But why is Stephen calling the former occupant of the White House by name again? When they show graphics of the headlines, why is T**** spelled out?
Why change a good thing??? Anyone else notice this???
Is anyone else excited about the return of the late night comics???
I have especially missed them these past 5 months, especially Colbert and Meyers. Tomorrow I plan to wear my "IS POTATO" shirt in honor of the occasion.
Why aren't people shouting this from the rooftops???
We always talk about the mental health crisis in this country. We always talk about the crippling depression and anxiety. How come we never talk about one of the biggest causes of this country's mental anguish?
It's T****. Full stop!! He and his enablers. I represent a group he hates - women. I was sexually assaulted not long after he announced his presidential run in 2015. Since then, we have been subjected to the leaked Access Hollywood video, the fallout from #MeToo, Dr. Ford being ignored re: Kavanaugh, and of course his repeated abuse of E. Jean Carroll.
I am not a person of color or LBGTQ+, so I cannot speak for those groups. Still, I see and abhor everything T**** and the Grand Old Patriarchy have inflicted on them. It's sickening.
I remember when I was a kid, we were taught to stand up to bullies. Bullies shouldn't win!!
What happens to Alicia Menendez on MSNBC?
We all know the mess that happened with the Cuomo Brothers at CNN.
I'm on a late 1970s/early 1980s country music kick lately...
I have been playing Dolly, Kenny Rogers, Gary Morris, Crystal Gayle and especially Eddie Rabbitt constantly the last few days. So much of that music still sounds fresh and just as good, if not better, than it did then. Who's with me?
Here's one.
I don't know if it's my favorite instrumental song, but it's very good. It's a piano piece entitled "Mood" by Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway. It's the final track on their eponymous 1972 album. RF is on acoustic piano and DH is on electric piano.

Eerie similarities...
I read some posts this week about it would have been Michael Jackson's 65th birthday had he lived. As a member of Gen X on the cusp of Millennial, I grew up with his music and his influence on culture at large.
Until I was older, I never realized just how manipulative he was. He was supposedly broke. He had (and some degree, still has) stans whose loyalty was downright frightening.
Sounds a lot like T****, only democracy wasn't involved. Am I way off base here?
