writer on the web has written a great blog post about the SCOTUS position and what it likely means going forward. I don't point it out just for the fact that she agrees with my earlier post. She describes, at length, the ramifications and potential actions that can be taken.

I predict it will galvanize democratic, independents and many conservatives. Once people realize that congress has the power to pass laws that can insure a woman's right to choose it will make a huge difference in the elections.

I believe if the court tries to overturn gay marriage it will adversely effect the republicans as well.

Abortion is overwhelmingly supported by the American people and gay marriage is strongly supported in every poll. The court is to the right of most of the people in this country and it will end up costing the repugs.
