Pence should never be POTUS

He is really a cowardly POS. In fact, no Republican should be POTUS for the next 20 years or more. Figuring most of the POS living now will be gone from the face of the earth.

I think the gasoline tax holiday is a bad idea. This tax pays for a lot of infrastructure projects

and jobs that Biden was able to get through Congress. Plus any money taken from Federal coffers means something is not being paid for. In addition, when the taxes are put back on, the Republicans will say that Dems are raising taxes.

A better idea, to me, would be to impose a windfall profits tax on excess profits since the month before Putin invaded Ukraine. I say a month before because I believe the oil companies and others had a heads up on what Putin was doing. The windfall tax would remain in affect until oil producers were back up to pre-COVID production.

I know the oil companies are using the excuse that they lost money during the pandemic but their loss was mostly from more record profits. They never encountered a REAL loss like almost every other business. They were at record profits before, during and now after the pandemic.

Don't bail them out by robbing Federal coffers just so they can keep their obscene profit margins.

It is pretty clear to me now that the Republican Party belongs to Trump and must be outlawed

as we would if there were a party called USA ISIS. The remnants of the old GOP must rename, rebrand, and reform themselves into an acceptable opponent of the Democrats with respect for humankind, our Constitution and ability to change it when necessary to protect the Republic, and respect for JUST and fair law and order.

We can not and will not survive with power resting in a party hell-bent on our destruction as a nation with democratic ideals and laws.

As an aside. With all that is coming out now about Trump and those around him, his SCOTUS picks

are tainted for all of history. Not that it will change anything but it really diminishes them in many minds. Should make it easier to expand the Court.

I think most are missing Judge Luttig's real intention.

I believe the Judge is playing to the audience of 9 people. The SCOTUS where a number of these J6 cases may end up. He very carefully laid the "originalists" stepping stones so that the current SCOTUS has no excuse to excuse the insurrectionist's or their planners' and financial supporters' intentions. He made it impossible for the SCOTUS to see any historical or legal way around finding these bastards guilty of trying to carry out a coup.

Sorry for the layman who found his testimony weedy and boring.

The Republicans built this Anti-government house and we all have to live in it!

Years if Reagan and other GOP "The government is the problem" has brought us to this moment in our nation's history.

A serious question is "Why do so many people who immigrate here soon gaining entry and even citizenship, quickly join the ranks of the GOP and their anti-government movement? I don't get it. Our government is by no means perfect. Just ask a few black Americans whose roots go back to the 1600-1700s. Truth is that the GOP and their conservative base rant about the government being a problem as the rake and defraud the coffers of the very government they seem to despise for trying to help the underserved.

"Subsidies for me but not for thee" seems to be the MO of the so-called capitalists. Corporations never would think about reducing their profits and dividends a point or two for the good of the nation and the majority of the people. Even doing so would leave them with RECORD PROFITS. Yes, most voters seem to not care. I believe it's because they don't know and never will be told in a way they can understand and accept. I have hurt my brain trying to explain to even some family members that if a billionaire pays a minimum of 15% income taxes, even on unearned income, they will still and forever be billionaires. The most likely way they will no longer be billionaires is thru scamming each other out of billions, investing in pseudo currency, using their money against the US government that made them billions.

How long will it take for Democrats to explain how wind and solar is now bailing out places of great

pollution and energy use? TX, NV, FL LA NM all places benefiting from solar as a heat wave across the nation threatens the energy grids across a wide swarth of states...mostly red...that want to "own the libs."

The big corporations are beating us down. People won't unify to fight back.

People are rolling over out of fear. It's like they have us all by the economic balls. The gas companies know exactly what they are doing and they are being supported by MBS. It appears that even Israel is asking Biden to sell our national soul.
People are suffering and I understand but I don't have to like it. I just wish we could be more united in our opposition to big money in politics. It is so sad that so many people lost their lives fighting for this experiment in democracy and it is so unappreciated by those have sought refuge on our shores in the past 60 years.

It is crushing to see so many of those who are scorned and demeaned by Trump and his band of insurrectionist MAGAs actually supporting him and his ugly base. Or maybe they are a part of his ugly base???

Depressing how they scorn President Biden and seem to blame him for all that Trump and the Republicans have done and are still doing against our country.
