S5:E10 (OK Sen. Treat & The 'Conservative Value' of Misogyny)

This week on Across the Desk. It's been almost a years since Oklahoma State Senator Nathan Dahm did an interview where he said something about Vice President Kamala Harris and abilities working a straw. It's also been a year since Sen. Greg Treat said, "There will be consequence!" But so far the only consequence has been a 'tweet', but hey! It's on the official OK Senate account... And thereby declaring, through sheer cowardice, that telling lewd jokes about women and how they got ahead in life, are absolutely 'Conservative Values'...

Across the Desk - S5:E9 (OK GOP - Bible State Book - No Trans till 21 - No Diversity in Public Ed)

This week on Across the Desk, Kit talks about 3 bills that have made their way through the Oklahoma Legislature. One bill makes the Christian Bible the official book of Oklahoma, put forth by a Legislator who sells Bibles for a living! A bill aimed to make it criminal for an adult over 18, but under 21 from ANY transgender medical care (it didn't make it through committee), and another bill aimed at making diversity education and the use of any material that might make a racist 'uncomfortable' not only illegal, but will come with heavy penalties against licensed educators and contractors...

Across the Desk - S5:E7 (The GOP Attack on LGBTQ Americans)

Kit talks about 2 bills going through the Oklahoma legislature designed to use the force of BIG GOVERNEMNT CONSERVATISM to harm those fellow LGBTQ citizens they do not agree with... A bill that make only male and female options on a birth certificate. And a bill to make 'Conversion Therapy' legal in Oklahoma and also allowing a 'Religious Advisor' to be equal to a licensed mental health professional....
