Neat Article about how everyone who wants a vaccine can get one 16 and up

You know we focus on the negative. But in reality, this is pretty amazing. Everyone I know has had (or is scheduled this week) for their first jab, at least. This is an amazing success considering a few months ago the idea of vaccinating everyone was so daunting as to be the talk of science fiction.

This isn't just about government, charity or private business. This is about Americans coming together helping each other, acting like adults and getting things done. Honestly, we need more of this in our media and fewer divisions and chicken littles scoring imaginary online points.

Most Americans are capable adults who do good and care about their fellow man. You wouldn't know it at a glance at our media who focus on the outliers and narcissists in our society.

I am doing the tourist thing for a day in New York in late June with my niece.

I see that Broadway is still closed and I haven't lived in New York since Dinkins was mayor, so I am at a bit of a loss.

Obviously Lunch will be at the Times Square Olive Garden, which serves the finest Italian food in the five boroughs. But outside of that does anyone have any good dinner ideas. We both have had our shots and are not looking to be outside where we could be caught up in demonstration.

In addition are the usual tourist traps (Rainbow Room, museums, main public library) still open and if they are they basically hassle free?

So I need some only in New York tourist traps and a good restaurant for dinner (Chinatown preferred). Money is not an issue in particular,

Florida Hotel Guests Kicked Out, Staff Fired Hours After Business Sold

Florida hotel kicked out nearly 100 guests and fired staff just hours after it learned the business had been sold, forcing a number of disgruntled customers onto the street.

Champions World Resort in Kissimmee, Florida, abruptly shut down on Thursday after it learned that it had been sold to new owners.

The news forced management to inform guests that they had to vacate the property that day, with many being told they had to leave the hotel by 4 p.m, WOFL Fox 35 Orlando reported.

This is insane. I cannot believe this could be legal in any way.

Evelyn Sakash Emmy-Winning Designer Missing for 6 Months Found Dead Under Garbage in Queens Home

With us opening up again, I wonder how many people will be found dead in their homes since we have all been isolated over the last year.

Steve Guttenberg: 'I learned humility from Laurence Olivier'

This is an April Fools joke from the Guardian right... Right?

But sometimes people say mean things: they tell him he sucks, or that his career tanked. Does that upset him? “You know, [mob boss] John Gotti had a great line that I think about when people come up and say: ‘You’re not Tom Hanks, you’re not Olivier.’ He said: ‘I became everything I wanted to become – how about you?’ And I did! I wanted to be a movie star, and I achieved my little plan. This business has been better than terrific to me. It allowed me to help my sisters, my parents, my grandmother. It’s been extraordinary, and I’m grateful every day.”

It has to be

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City stars arrested on federal fraud charges

Jennifer Shah and Stuart Smith accused of cheating hundreds of people over 10 years with telemarketing scheme

Honestly, I didn't realise telemarketing schemes still existed in this day and age. Looks like she will join some of her Housewives sisters in Federal Prison.

Ranch House or Ranch Fountain. The Marriage or Mortgage trainwreck on Netflix keeps on giving.

Cramped apartment with two kids... let's take the 30k we have saved and spend it on a wedding instead of a down payment on a house in a good school district that will cost 60k more in six months.

Bonus points for the elderly lesbian couple stanning a plantation wedding.

Baylor coach calls for end of COVID-19 testing at NCAA tournament

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Baylor coach Kim Mulkey thinks the NCAA should do away with COVID-19 testing for the Final Four and implied Monday night that players should be able to participate in those games even if they’re infected with the coronavirus.

“I don’t think my words matter, but after the games today, tomorrow, there’s four teams left I think on the men’s side and the women’s side,” Mulkey said, unprompted, after her team lost to UConn 69-67 in the Elite Eight. “They need to dump the COVID testing.”

This seems like a careless and very bad take from a supposed leader and educator.
