Newest RW talking point RE: Uvalde. It's all the teacher's fault

The teacher left the door open, which let the shooter in. The teacher was wrong and is liable for all of it.

As with the RW, it's always a teacher's fault.

Endgame: The never ending saga of my wife and me through the USA insane legal immigration system

I have ten more days. . .that's it. . .ten more days until I leave for my flight to HKG. Thank you for all who donated to the GFM I set up. You paid for my plane ticket to get back to China.

HKG opened up its borders and has shortened its quarantine to seven days for fully vaxxed travelers. I will quarantine there, then I will go through Shenzhen Bay Metro into Shenzhen and re-enter China to reunite with my wife. I expect to be completely reunited on June 29th.

IF China pulls its normal games, I have a backup plan already set. I full to Bangkok from Hong Kong. . .get my Korean visa there then go to Phuket until my wife gets her Korean spouse visa.

When she does, I go to Korea from Thailand before her, then she comes after I get there. Those flights are dirt cheap.

Thank you, DU, for helping me at my neediest when my spirits were lowest.

We have re-submitted our marriage document (third time) to the idiots at the NVC for approval. She said she would rather wait with me there with her than be separated anymore.

So, we have a plan, a backup plan, and the door to coming to the US has not closed completely yet.

GOP Rep. Paul Gosar spread a baseless transphobic rumor that the Uvalde school-shooting suspect was

FULL HEADLINE: GOP Rep. Paul Gosar spread a baseless transphobic rumor that the Uvalde school-shooting suspect was a 'transsexual leftist illegal alien'

Following Tuesday's mass shooting at a Texas elementary school, Rep. Paul Gosar, an Arizona Republican, spread a false and transphobic claim that the suspected shooter was a "transsexual leftist illegal alien."

Gosar tweeted the claim even though authorities had already identified the shooter as an 18-year-old male resident of Uvalde, where the shooting occurred.

As of Tuesday evening, the GOP representative had not commented on his tweet, which was deleted about two hours after being published.

Trump Drafted Two Handwritten Notes in Effort to Overturn Election Results

Source: Newsweek via MSN

New court documents have revealed that former President Donald Trump had a direct role in the legal strategy used by his team in their efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

A Thursday brief filed by John Eastman's attorneys in a lawsuit against the House committee investigating the January 6 Capitol attack argued that Eastman—a Trump attorney who implored Vice President Mike Pence to block the congressional certification of states' electoral votes—has attorney-client privilege covering more than 100 documents because he worked on Trump's legal team.

While most of the documents were email communications or digital attachments, "two include hand-written notes from former President Trump about information that he thought might be useful for the anticipated litigation," according to the brief. Eastman said he also spoke with Trump on the phone during the legal challenges.

The late-night court filing is the latest development in Eastman's efforts to block the House panel's access to a trove of communications pertaining to its investigation. The filing comes just weeks after Eastman withdrew privilege claims over a third of the documents amid pressure from U.S. District Court Judge David Carter.

Town of Niagara family's fence vandalized with violent, racist graffiti

TOWN OF NIAGARA, N.Y. [WKBW] — When Town of Niagara native Johnny Parks woke up Monday morning he didn't notice anything unusual. Before heading to work, he drove to the coffee shop around the corner before heading back home. That's when he noticed the racist and violent graffiti on his fence.

"It's something that you never want to see at your home or anywhere else," Parks told 7 ABC.

The Parks family said their neighborhood is incredibly tight knit, which makes the threat that much more alarming. The fence that was vandalized is right next to a community park, often used by families in the neighborhood.

"There are people that hate, hate, hate, all because of a skin color," Parks' daughter Jazlyn said.

Teachers and former teachers check in: How many think the last week of school is the hardest?

Students are mentally checked out for summer.

Our minds are checking out for summer.

Administration becomes completely draconian and heavy-handed.

And trying to teach anything is a complete waste of time because it's the last week.

What do you do? I normally allow students to go to other teachers if they need help or show videos (historical ones) because I still want students to learn things.

One thing I can say is I got most of my students off drinking soda. I bring in those individual Crystal Light flavorings and they inhale them. I've noticed the students have more pep and have lost some weight too.

Wyoming senator booed for sex identity remarks at graduation

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — U.S. Sen. Cynthia Lummis apologized Monday after getting booed and heckled for remarks she made on sexual identity during a University of Wyoming graduation speech.

A first-term Republican from deep-red Wyoming, Lummis said in Saturday's speech in Laramie that human rights are derived from God but that government seeks to redefine many of them.

"Even fundamental, scientific truths such as the existence of two sexes, male and female, are subject to challenge these days," Lummis said.

She paused and smiled while many in the crowd responded with boos and heckling.

“And I challenge those of you,” she continued. But she didn't complete that thought, saying: “I'm not making a comment on the fact that there are people who transition between sexes.”

Four Bills Hall of Famers planning support of shooting victims

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Bills Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas tells The Associated Press he and several former teammates are coming together in Buffalo this week to help support families of the shooting victims.

Among those players expected to make the trip are Hall of Famers defensive end Bruce Smith and receiver Andre Reed, along with Thomas and Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly, who like Thomas lives in the area.

“Those guys said right away, `We’ll be here this week because that’s our city. We love it and we want to be supportive,‘” Thomas said. “They want to see what they can do and how they can help, because they were really a part of this community for a number of years and they want to continue to help.”

Donald Trump Is Losing More Primary Races Than He'd Like You to Know

Source: Newsweek via MSN

The question of how much influence Donald Trump's influence continues to have for GOP voters continued in the wake of the primaries in Nebraska and West Virginia, with the former president's endorsements having a mixed night.

Before the polls opened on Tuesday in both states, Trump had endorsed 55 candidates who all went on to win their respective primaries or advance into a runoff—22 in Ohio and Indiana and 33 in Texas.

The run came to an end after Trump's pick in the GOP gubernatorial election in Nebraska, Charles Herbster, lost the election to Jim Pillen, a University of Nebraska regent endorsed by outgoing term-limited Governor Pete Ricketts.

However, as noted by Politico, Trump may have also lost another election in Nebraska that night as Representative Don Bacon managed to hold onto his seat after getting a resounding 77 percent of the votes on Tuesday.

I have links to teaching jobs overseas. I have nine of them. Time to be shocked

Guess which three countries have the highest amount of foreign teaching openings outside the Middle East? And understand I'm not talking about oral English "teaching" jobs. I mean real teaching in real schools and universities.

If you guessed China, India, and Russia, you'd be right.

Imagine:

China - making it nearly impossible for people to go there to work and they have about 14% of all openings I've seen
India - Modi has turned the country into a cesspool. They account for about 17% of all the openings
Russia - Ummmm. . .yeah. They account for about 22% of the openings.

Remember, I'm not counting UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, or Oman. Nothing in the Middle East counts in this because there are over 1,000 openings in those countries.

But the rest. . .

And why do you ask? Well, what do all three have in common? Authoritarian leaders.
