New Putin troll talking point: How can people believe in a comedian turned president?

Amazing how dense these people are, considering they supported a movie actor turned president and a reality TV host turned president.

Right now, I believe their next president ticket will be "potted fern/bag of dead worms 2024."

Keep an eye out here, everyone. The Russian propaganda/troll mill is working overtime all over the net (message boards, social media, YouTube, etc).

When is the Republican Response lie-fest on so we can riff it MST3K style?

Ukraine survived the first week with minimual loss. Russian blitzkreig failed

Russian soldiers are pulling a "world war 1" by surrendering under low morale. Logistics have failed. Russian soldiers are ill-trained, ill-equipped, were lied to, conscripted into the military, and are committing self-sabotage.

Oligarchs have little of their money left. Yachts are being tracked, property is being seized.

Ukraine's president is fighting with soldiers and the people showing what he is made of. Ukraine is offering $15K in crypto to Russians that surrender without a fight to go home.

EU is about to, or already has, admitted Ukraine into the EU, releasing European hands to help Ukraine.

Ruble is in the toilet, economy has felt the 5th worst decline in human history.

Ukraine destroyed a massive convoy. Russian ships have no port to go to. Turkey shut down Gallipoli to them.

Putin overplayed his hand and failed. He will go down in history like Hitler and Mussolini.

I believe a French Revolution style uprising will happen against the oligarchs and Putin will get the same treatment Ceaususcu and his dullard wife got.

Imperialism and Fascism has failed again. Ukraine is antifa personified.

On the American front, Trump will be economically destroyed by this. Apologists like Wendy Rogers will get marginalized, and mouthpieces like Carlson have been exposed.

Putin fought the wrong style war against the wrong country at the wrong time.

The internet depresses me. A tool of such amazing potential for people to communicate

over-run with nutjobs, scammers, spmmers, and inanity.

I never thought I'd live to see the day ACUTAL Americans would side with an enemy nations led by a brutal dictator over a democratic country that the brutal autocrat invaded for no reason.

It hurts just looking at things like that.

Trump announces another run at CPAC: 'We'll do it again'

Source: AP

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Leading Republicans spent much of three days avoiding Donald Trump’s chief grievances or ignoring him altogether as they unified behind a midterm message designed to win back the voters the polarizing former president alienated while in office.

That changed Saturday night.

Facing thousands of cheering activists at the Conservative Political Action Conference’s annual meeting, Trump falsely blamed his 2020 election loss on widespread voter fraud, for which there is no evidence. As Russian troops advanced on the Ukrainian capital in an invasion widely condemned by Western leaders, Trump described Russian President Vladimir Putin as “smart.”

“Of course he’s smart,” Trump said, doubling down on praise of the Russian leader that many other Republicans have avoided in the wake of the invasion. “But the real problem is our leaders are dumb. Dumb. So dumb.”

While Trump expressed support for the Ukrainian people and called the country’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a “brave man,” he also noted his ties with other leading autocrats. He specifically pointed to his friendly relationships with Xi Jinping of China and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

ICBC and Bank of China have stopped doing business with Russia - STATE OWNED BANK

At least two of China’s largest state-owned banks are restricting financing for purchases of Russian commodities, underscoring the limits of Beijing’s pledge to maintain economic ties with one of its most important strategic partners in the face of sanctions by the U.S. and its allies.

Industrial & Commercial Bank of China Ltd.’s offshore units stopped issuing U.S. dollar-denominated letters of credit for purchases of physical Russian commodities ready for export, two people familiar with the matter said. Yuan-denominated letters of credit are still available for some clients, subject to approvals from senior executives, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing private information.

The move followed Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which triggered a wave of sanctions from countries including the U.S., the U.K. and Japan and stoked speculation that more may follow. Because commodity-linked letters of credit are issued so frequently, they would be among the first transactions impacted by the threat of sanctions.

Bank of China Ltd. has also curbed financing for Russian commodities based on its own risk assessment, another person said. The lender has yet to receive explicit guidance on Russia from Chinese regulators, two people said.

To the admin: DU seems to be slowing down on my computer and getting alot of

messages of "failure to send."

I believe we are being cyber-attacked again. It takes a long time to load (many failures to load), and posting is at a stand still.

Russian trolls are all over internet now. Here is their MO

01: Why isn't Biden securing the US borders but is concerned with Europe?
02: Anyone who speaks out against Putin supports Nazis and Fascism.
03: Biden is helping Ukraine because of his drug-addicted son.
04: Pro-Trump arguments.

It's all red herring, argumentum ad absurdum, deflection, and ad hominem.

If you see it here, please alert immediately. And if they are under 100 posts, contact MIRT. We in MIRT have been told to look out for it. If you suspect a troll, even if it's a long time poster, ALERT immediately.
