About Me

Demoralized, depressed, destroyed by American immigration law written and pushed for in 1952 by two xenophobes determined to keep people out.

As you all on DU know, I live back in China again with my wife after the Green Card debacle

With all the things happening here, I will try to give a on the ground update.

Anyone with any questions, please ask me. I will answer to the best of my ability.

This is a nervous time now. I have job offers in Beijing and Changzhou. My wife is terrified to go to beijing now.

BTW, my wife and her small community in the rural part of Jiangsu support the protestors.

1 dead, at least 16 hurt after SUV crashes into Massachusetts Apple store

One man was killed and at least 16 people were injured Monday morning after an SUV drove into a Massachusetts Apple store, officials said.

Police received calls for a car that crashed into storefront windows at the Derby Street Shops in Hingham, about 16 miles southeast of downtown Boston, around 10:45 a.m. on Monday.

Responding officers found multiple people with injuries in and around the Apple store at the outdoor mall, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz said during a news conference on the incident.

A dark-colored 2019 Toyota 4Runner smashed through the quintessential large glass windows at the Apple store at a speed that is unknown at this time, striking multiple people, according to Cruz.

Mass shootings. Car attacks. School shootings. Increased suicide rate. What is wrong with this country?

BTW. . .don't read the comments. For some reason, whenever articles allow comments, they are inundated with right wing trolls. It seems like wingnuts have nothing better to do with their lives than post comments on articles.

Kevin McCarthy wants to block three Democrats from committees if he becomes House speaker

Source: USA Today VIA AOL

House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy served further notice Sunday that his potential speakership will be politically volatile, saying he will try to keep three high-profile Democrats off of certain committees.

Democrats said McCarthy will do whatever his right wing wants him to do because he still lacks the votes to land the speaker's job.

In stumping for the position, McCarthy has targeted Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee; and Reps. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., members of the House Intelligence Committee.

McCarthy and other Republicans have for months said these members' past statements and actions regarding issues like Israel, China and Russia should keep them off these committees.

"I'll keep that promise" to remove them, McCarthy told Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures."

It's about revenge and retribution, not governing.

Harry Chapin's "Changes" - 1st verse seems to apply to Agent Orange

I was cramped into a coffee house pew
Two dollar coke in my hand
Listening to the music run
Through and out of a drowning man
Ten years ago I first heard him singing
To a screaming crazy crowd
Now there's thirteen loyal people
Trying to sound that loud
And I wonder as I watch him now
Why his songs don't turn me on
He got me into music
Where has the fragile magic gone?

And all the changes
Keep on changing
And the good old days
They say they're gone
Only wise men
And some new born fools
Say they know what's going on
But I sometimes think the difference is
Just in how I think and see
And the only changes going on
Are going on in me

I wonder what those morons on AM Radio are saying and whining

Being overseas, I can avoid them.

But I have morbid curiosity as to what Hannity, Beck, Levin, Hewitt, Prager, Savage, Medved, and the rest of that ilk are saying about getting their asses handed to them with both hands.

Three more selections into film festivals.

81 Days - biopic on George Stinney
Because I Could - fictionalized story base on Michelle Carter
Saint Peter's Snow Removal - story about three lost souls and one night of soul crushing realizations

Now that I have done what producers said and ran the film festival route for three years, I am at a loss as to how to proceed forward. I now have a track record. My shorts are being made, but my features still stand still.

Clyde and Bear has won me ten awards since 2019.

To celebrate Trump's almost done political demise and upcoming trials both criminal and civil,

I pulled out my Watermelon Ice vape, smoked for a little while, all the while taking a massive trump in the bathroom.

When I flushed, it reminded me of Agent Orange's waning power and influence and the civil war brewing in the Republiklan Party.

Being midterm, it wasn't a Blue Tsunami, but it definitely was a Blue Wave

However, elections are now 24/7/365. Can't lose focus and can't let the Democratic coalition in Congress fracture. Blue Dogs and Yellow Dogs must keep the eye on the prize.

And we must force the end of the filibuster in the Senate.
