XanaDUer2's JournalIt's so depressing to watch a show about Switzerland
And wake up to being in a shithole like America.
Hetty Wainthropp In vestigates
Just got Britbox. This is a mystery series starring the incomparable Patricia Rutledge as a private investigator for smaller cases. I recommend!
Can't win either way
I watch a lot of true-crime shows. When interviewing the detectives, they say their suspicions of suspects increases when they ask too many questions. Or, their suspicions are raised when suspects don't ask a lot of questions and seem too detached.
If a person of interest (let's say relative), is too emotional, crying, they're overreacting and that's suspicious. If they under react, according to detectives' subjective judgement, that's suspicious and they don't seem to care.
No wonder people lawyer up.
My partner's doctor is instituting strict visitation
For appointments now due to omnicrom. Before, only patients could enter the building, while drivers sat in the parking lot. Now. They are seeing patients one at a time.
We are masking and boostered Seems like this will never end.
Anyone watching the Welsh crime drama "Hidden" on Acorn
I'm trying to get into it. Anyone else watching it? It's partly in Welsh with subtitles.
Having panic attack
Hope all are well. I'm having panic attack. Deep breathing. Trying to distract myself with DU and TV, Midsomer Murders.
Thanks for reading. I have to have hope for the future.
Had my corneal erosion surgery today
My cornea either erodes, or calluses form on them. Very unpleasant sensation of something in my eye.
Doc basically scraped my corneal surface off, then rinsed it, then put contact-lens bandaid on it. My eye was numbed before this.
Hurts like a mother. Followup tomorrow
Does anyone here fear the future?
I'll be quitting my job soon due to disability. It's a life change, and I do worry about having enough to live on. I keep worrying about my future. I know it's uncertain for us all.
Anyone else deal with future worry?
If you like British mysteries
I cannot recommend Vera enough. It stars Brenda Blethyn as an older police detective in Northern England. It's on Acorn
