After being sued in 2020,, the teacher, identified as Cynthia T. Perkins, was sentenced to 41 years in prison in February 2022.
Perkins pleaded guilty to charges of second-degree rape, production of child pornography, and conspiracy of mingling harmful substances.
Now, the ex-teachers husband, 47-year-old former Sheriffs Deputy Dennis Wallace Perkins, has been sentenced to 100 years for sex crimes of his own.
Its been reported that Dennis Perkins is expected to spend the rest of his life behind bars after he admitted to a spate of horrific sex crimes many of which involved young children.
On Tuesday (January 3), the former Livingston Parish Sheriffs deputy and SWAT commander pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree rape.

A superior court judge Wednesday said the announcement effectively ended District Attorney Jon Davids effort to remove Jody Greene from office over wide-ranging misconduct allegations. But the court left unanswered whether Greene should be disqualified from the post, which would prevent him from running or serving again. Greenes leadership of the Columbus County Sheriffs Office has been under fire since the fall of 2022, when a local TV news station revealed recordings of Greene referring to deputies in his department as Black bastards and snakes.
