New Biden ad airing on tonight's World Series

They were playing dress-up, living out their 'Call of Duty' fantasy of gassing & shooting protesters

College student hit in face by 40mm round during police protests sues Denver
Michael Acker alleges Denver police violated his First Amendment right to assemble and speak freely

The lawsuit (filed Thursday) accuses Denver police Chief Paul Pazen and five unnamed officers, along with the city, of violating the First Amendment rights of Michael Acker, who was injured while trying to help a woman who had been shot during with multiple pepper balls during police protests in Denver.
The lawsuit accuses the police of using excessive force to chill Acker’s rights to assemble and speak freely.

Rather than protecting and serving, DPD officers in these protests were a roving gang cosplaying as an occupying military force,” the lawsuit said. “They were playing dress-up, living out their ‘Call of Duty’ fantasy of gassing and shooting protesters in the street without consequence. And, as a result, peaceful protesters against police brutality suffered unprecedented brutality by DPD officers. This escalation was a feature, not a bug, of how Denver policed the protests. DPD officers wanted to start a riot.”

Fellow protesters aid Michael Acker on May 28, 2020, after he was hit in the face with a 40mm foam bullet fired by Denver Police Department officers.
Acker sued Denver in federal court Thursday for the officers’ use of excessive force to silence his free speech and assembly rights.

1970 - The Bells "Fly Little White Dove Fly"

Peak Month: November 1970
8 weeks on Vancouver’s CKLG chart
Peak Position #15
Peak Position on Billboard Hot 100 #95
YouTube.com: “Fly Little White Dove”

The mid-60s Montreal duo, Cliff Edwards and Anne Ralph, were persuaded to form a group. They added Anne’s sister Jacki Ralph on vocals, drummer Doug Gravelle and keyboard player Gordie McLeod.
They named themselves The Five Bells. Shortly afterward Gordie McLeod left the group and Mickey Ottier became the groups drummer. In 1969 they released their first single called “Moody Manitoba Morning“.

They continued to play clubs in Canada and landed an 11-week run at the Copacabana in New York. The group shortened their name to "The Bells" and Anne Ralph left the group, leaving Jackie Ralph as the featured female vocalist and Cliff Edwards the lead male vocalist.

In 1970 pianist Frank Mills joined The Bells and the group released their second single “Fly Little White Dove Fly”. The song was part of a genre of anti-war/peace movement songs finding their way onto AM radio at the time.
Other songs at the time included “War” by Edwin Starr, “Lay Down (Candles In The Rain)” by Melanie and “Aquarius/Let The Sun Shine In” by the Fifth Dimension.

The Bells offered a gentle nudge for radio listeners to move toward one another in love instead of pulling back from each other due to fear or division.

A most interesting bio from the Vietnam War era, it's political history & how "Fly Little White Dove" came to represent the sentiment of that era.:

Another hit song by The Bells is "Stay Awhile" ~ 1971
"The Bells went on to have a number of hits but none was bigger than “Stay Awhile”, which peaked at #2 in Vancouver, #9 in Australia and #7 on the Billboard Hot 100."

(Though I do not recall hearingg "Fly Little White Dove" , I remember hearing "Stay Awhile" on the radio.)

In 2014 band member Cliff Edwards daughter created a documentary of the life of The Bells

"Maxwell Never Saw Clinton on Epstein's Island": Deposition Update

Maxwell Never Saw Clinton on Epstein’s Island: Deposition Update

“I Don’t Know What You Mean by Puppet” (2:39 p.m.)
There are several pages of questions about a puppet, including a sustained back-and-forth about how a puppet is defined. According to Slate, which says it has cracked the code for some of the redactions, these are references to Prince Andrew. Maxwell says in the deposition that she doesn’t recall asking Virginia Giuffre to sit on someone’s lap with a puppet -- or “caricature” -- of a person whose name was redacted.

Never Saw Bill Clinton on Epstein’s Island (2:10 p.m.)

Bill Clinton never visited Epstein’s private Caribbean island while Maxwell was there, according to her sworn testimony. Pressed to describe any instances in which Epstein hosted the former president on his private plane or his island, Little St. James, she responded emphatically.

Virginia is absolutely totally lying,” she testified. “This is a subject of defamation about Virginia and the lies she has told and one of [the] lies she told was that President Clinton was on the island where I was present. Absolutely 1000% that is a flat-out total fabrication and lie.”

Clinton’s name is one of the few that weren’t redacted in the 465-page document, which includes several pages of questions about men Epstein knew and whether they were introduced to girls. There is no evidence the 42nd president engaged in any wrongdoing in association with Epstein.

WHY wasn't Bill Clinton's name redacted along with the many others?

Who decided Clinton's name be exposed while other prominant names be hidden from public view?

Trump paid more taxes to China than the US

From the article:

Trump Reportedly Holds Secret Chinese Bank Account, Paid China Over $188,000 in Taxes

The foreign accounts do not show up on Mr. Trump’s public financial disclosures, where he must list personal assets, because they are held under corporate names. The identities of the financial institutions are not clear.

The Chinese account is controlled by Trump International Hotels Management L.L.C., which the tax records show paid $188,561 in taxes in China while pursuing licensing deals there from 2013 to 2015.

The figure is quite a contrast to the mere $750 Trump reportedly paid in 2016 for U.S. federal income taxes.

The article goes on to note that the Trump family has been pursuing licensing deals in China for over a decade, that China’s largest state-controlled bank previously leased three floors of Trump Tower, and that Trump invested a substantial amount of money to enable his hotel business to pursue multiple Chinese projects.
