The election for Alaska's only congressional district comes down to Democrat Mary Peltola and batshit Sarah Palin. Who will win after second place votes are determined on Wednesday?

There's a reason I'm staying mum on NY specials tonight. So far, results look about on par w/ 2020-type enviro (good news for Dems), but lots of uncertainty about how much vote is left in each county. #NY19 #NY23

Today will be another indication of Dems November chances

There are Special Election s in NY 19 (Biden +2) and NY 23 (Trump +12). Depending on how much Dems outperform Biden or underperform him, will likely give us an indication of Democratic motivation at this point, and enthusiasm of key demographics.

Also if Nikki Fried ends up with landslide over Crist, I imagine it will mean that women and young voters have registered at substantially unprecedented numbers, and is another positive indication for November.

We will see.

WASHINGTON — Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert who became a household name — and the subject of partisan attacks — during the COVID-19 pandemic, announced Monday he will depart the federal government in December after more than five decades of service.

Fauci, 81, who serves as President Biden’s chief medical adviser, has been the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and chief of the NIAID Laboratory of Immunoregulation. He was a leader in the federal response to HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases even before the coronavirus hit.
