If Trump gets the Republican nomination, Nikki Haley should Jill Stein his ass and run as an independent.

Not likely she would do this because it would mean the absolute end of her political career, but some Republican conservative who actually cares about the Constitution and democracy more than his or her political career, if one actually exists, should do this. Split the ticket on the Mango Menace, just like the Repubes are trying to do to the Dems with Jill Stein.

Thank God, Joe Biden is president! His involvement in the Israel-Hamas hostage negotiations shows how much

experience matters. There is so much to praise Joe about since his becoming president, including this latest negotiation over the hostages, but his foreign relations experience from his time as vice president and as a senator should NOT be forgotten.

I found this info on the Obama Whitehouse Archives website. There was a ton more than the four-paragraph DU limit, but here are some highlights:

Vice President Biden is the Administration’s point person for diplomacy within the Western Hemisphere. He has worked to realize his vision of a Hemisphere that is “middle class, secure, and democratic, from Canada to Chile and everywhere in between.” Launched and chaired the U.S.-Mexico High Level Economic Dialogue, which significantly advanced trade, investment, and border infrastructure between the two countries. Worked with the governments of El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras to create the Alliance for Prosperity Plan for the Northern Triangle of Central America and engaged with the U.S. Congress to secure $750 million of U.S. support for the region.

As one of the early supporters of Plan Colombia in the Senate, the Vice President was the first senior U.S. official to travel to Colombia after the Colombian congress ratified the peace accords in December. For his longstanding commitment to Colombia, he was recognized with Colombia's highest national honor by President Juan Manuel Santos, the recipient of the 2016 Nobel Peace Prize.

Standing up for a Europe Whole, Free, and at Peace
The Vice President has been a leading architect of the U.S. strategic vision of a Europe whole, free and at peace. During his time in the Senate, the Vice President led the effort to enlarge NATO to include the former Warsaw Pact countries of Eastern and Central Europe after the collapse of the Iron Curtain. The Vice President’s speech at the Munich Security Conference in February 2015 laid out a vision for how to revitalize NATO, strengthen democratic institutions in Europe, prioritize investments to bolster energy security, and grow trade and investment ties across the Atlantic.

Successfully advocated for the release of political prisoners, including Nadia Savchenko of Ukraine and Khadija Ismayilova in Azerbaijan. Took leading role in reassuring NATO allies of U.S. commitment to their security after Russia's attempted annexation of Crimea and aggression in eastern Ukraine, including convening a summit with leaders of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania in August 2016. Championed robust and sustained U.S. and international support for Ukraine's political and economic stability and promoted needed reforms. Instrumental in securing the Stormont House Agreement in Northern Ireland, which ensured the survival of the independent Northern Ireland Executive and Assembly and a more prosperous future for Northern Ireland.

And yet, Trump humpers still insist that their cruel, ignorant, dumbass, fascist POS reality TV star with zero experience governing, apart from his four years of terrorizing our country and the world in general, would be a far better choice for the leader of the free world. I just . . . don't . . . get it.

Maxine Waters: "Hakeem Jeffries versus the INSURRECTIONIST!"

I love you, Maxine Waters!

I wish everyone would tack on "versus the INSURRECTIONIST!" in the next round of voting.

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU, Fani Willis! Tonight, the first peaceful night's sleep since

2016 for millions of Americans, while Defendant Guilty-AF-Trump lies awake writhing in utter torment.

Thank you, Ms. Willis. THANK YOU!

I wonder if Benedict Donald is already pitching his idea for a new prison-based reality show called:

Orange Is the New Orange?

His one true super-power is finding a way to turn a fast buck in any situation. I hope, of course, that when he puts his orange jumpsuit on that he will not be allowed to profit from his time in prison.

Just musing here, since it's still far from certain that he will see any real jail time. Fingers crossed tightly that he does.

With the shit hitting the fan and the ketchup hitting the wall, this would be a REALLY good time for

a breaking-news-interrupt-all-other-programming TV appearance by Jack Smith and Merrick Garland to give a serious, sobering, no-punches-pulled statement to the American people on Trump's indictments.

This is most likely in the works, but I think this should be done quickly to counter the Republicans' and FoxNews twisting all this into anything but the truth, which is that Benedict Donald has been indicted for stealing and sharing our nations' most sensitive secrets.

With the debt ceiling fiasco, Repubes are playing their favorite game: Pin the Blame on the Donkey.

They want the US to default and the US economy to tank so that they can point their grubby fingers at Biden and say, "Look! Biden wrecked the economy!"

So they are making ludicrously unreasonable demands that Biden won't agree to so that they can whine, "Look! Biden won't negotiate!"

That's why Biden, rather than taking the 14th Amendment route, is making it clear that he is more than willing to negotiate, turning their game into Pin the Blame on the Elephant, a much larger and more fault-worthy target, with apologies to actual elephants everywhere.

Then if Biden does use the 14th Amendment, he will be able to show that he had to do so as a last resort, thanks to the game-playing Repubes, who would not negotiate in good faith.

You know what? The Republicans' #1 tactic of scaring the bejesus out of people is working . . .

on us Dems! The CNN town hall for the rapist ex-"president" is as frightening as anything I've seen coming from the right in the last six years.

Way to get out the Democratic vote, GOP, CNN, and all Trump-humping media! If you keep trotting out Trump, you will not only gin up your base, but will also scare the pants off of Democratic voters and ensure very few of us stay home on Election Day 2024.

May 11, 2023

I think CNN hosted the town hall not just for tonight's ratings, but for ratings for the next two

years and beyond, if the twice-impeached, rapist ex-"president" manages to get his fat ass elected again—shudder.

CNN is hoping beyond hope for a Biden-Trump rematch. It would be like Rocky Balboa versus Apollo Creep.

Oh, and also, they hosted him because we're descending into a fascist state, helped along by right-wing media like CNN and Fox and the American oligarchy.

It's telling that NO Republican politicians are criticizing Biden over the near-daily mass shootings

we are now experiencing.

You'd think they would. Anytime anything bad happens, blame it on Biden. That's Republican-craft 101. Inflation? Blame it on Biden. Gas prices go up? Blame it on Biden. And, of course, illegal immigration increases? Blame it on Biden. But they haven't criticized him one bit over this.

Because what are they gonna say, "Why hasn't Biden passed tougher gun laws?"

The Republicans can't pile on Biden over this because they know that they themselves are the ones to blame for the carnage. They are the ones sucking up to both the NRA and to their gun-loving base, just to get reelected. It's too craven and depraved for words.
