Trump filled a request for a special master yesterday.

He filed it with Judge Aileen Cannon, one of his appointees who doesn't have jurisdiction. The request should have been filed with Judge Reinhart. But Trump is treated with kid gloves. We shall see if Trump gets his special master. The FBI in the search used special agents who sorted out any classified documents that could be related to attorney client privilege. So the FBI already took steps to do what a special master would do.

If the judge who was simply picked by Trump, orders a special master, how long will that process take? When someone is selected I expect that Trump will not like the choice and make an appeal to have him/her recused further delaying the process. The request for a special master was done merely to delay everything. We shall see if Trump is treated with kid gloves once again.

That Release of the Search Warrant Affidavit.

It should never have been released, even the redacted version. It just isn't done. DOJ doesn't have to show its cards until after an indictment, it's procedure, it's the way it's usually done.

I don't give a shit if there is damning Trump evidence in the redaction, Trump was treated differently once again. The MSM and Trump's Magats will look at the redactions and whine, what is the FBI hiding, and Trump will once again play his victim role.

This is on the judge. He should have dismissed the MSM request immediately. Trump didn't officially request it be released.

Have a nice day media outlets who made this request, be sure to add in your bylines, what is the FBI hiding?

What Has President Biden Done?

To deserve low favorability numbers? Name me one factual thing.

Could it be the polls are bogus?

Nicolle Wallace May Be In Trouble.

If she ever gets fired from MSNBC she will never get a job at CNN. I heard her say the term, "The Big Lie," today.

First cable news anchor who I have heard say that recently.

So How Many People Who Weren't at the Insurrection, Were Indicted or Convicted?

We have Steve Bannon who flat out ignored a J6 subpoena. He has been indicted and convicted on 2 counts. Bannon can go to the Appeals Court and even to the Supreme Court, which has to take at least another year. I don't expect Bannon, if he loses his appeals to serve much jail time.

Peter Navarro has been indicted on 2 counts for ignoring a J6 subpoena, I'm not sure if his trial is scheduled?

I'm pretty sure I must have missed a couple of people, I mean it was an attempted overthrow of our government.

The Bannon and Navarro indictments were pretty much cut and dried, they both just ignored valid subpoenas.

I bring this up because it seems to me what Trump did with the top secret documents is pretty cut and dried also. Look how long it is going to take to put Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro in jail. How long will it take to put Donald Trump before a grand jury? How long before a trial? No way a trial happens before 2025, Trump is no Steve Bannon or Peter Navarro.

I get it, DOJ has to get it right with Trump, but why didn't DOJ, the FBI, get involved with the stolen classified documents sooner? Why did DOJ leave the National Archives do the investigation? I don't believe that DOJ actually got involved until April of 2022. Why so late?

We can all shout and cheer when more Trump criminal activity is exposed by the J6 committee, or by the MSM, but they aren't the DOJ, they have no power to prosecute.

My Ford, leaving Trump have custody of top secret documents for 18 months is unfathomable to me. I need a double dose of soma.

Donald Trump has even threatened Merrick Garland, twice now, it's time for action, or do we have to wait until after the election? My Ford.

I Predict The Search Warrant Affidavit Will Remain Sealed.

That was always a possibility. The judge is already hedging. He stated if he released a redacted affidavit it could give information about Mar-el-Loco that would hamper the Secret Service in protecting Trump.

When the Trump team did not make an effort to urge the judge to release the affidavit I knew they were just using this as propaganda.

Take it to the bank, the affidavit will stay sealed, the Magats got what they wanted, a talking point to bash the FBI.

The MSM is Complicit in Destroying Our Democracy

The MSM is complicit in destroying our democracy and complicit in covering up for the fascists.

It did not take long, as I predicted, for the narrative to flip away from a president who destroyed, stole, most likely sold our country's most secret documents, to "was the FBI "raid" justifiable?"

This is what Democrats and the Democratic party are up against, NOT BEING ABLE TO CONTROL THE NARRATIVE, NOT BEING ABLE TO GET THE TRUTH OUT TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, because the MSM is owned and managed by domestic oligarchs.

CNN news anchors got their orders, do not use the term "The Big Lie."

CNN and MSNBC both push the right wing narrative, there are nice people working the anchor desks, but they read from scripts or aren't sharp enough to get the truth out. They put a negative slant on the right wing narrative, but they are still discussing it.

It's raining all day today so no golf and maybe I get to watch 3 hours of anchors getting the truth out; Nicolle and Chris.

We are getting close to the election so holding traitors accountable may be put on hold, I hope not. Sorry, I just can't take listening to Steve Kornacki. DUers let me know if he says anything important?

I took a short Vacation,

Had a blast, no cable news, 9 year old's Birthday. I got him a Keytar and he learned how to play it in 1 day. (You are going to have to Google that one)

I did find something strange upon my return to DU, it appears (I could be wrong) that someone took over fightforfreedom's account.

There appears to be more concern about the search warrant than the theft of classified documents. Everyone, not here, is calling it a raid.

All refreshed and ready to push DOJ, or do I have to wait until Kornacki is finished?

So I Just Turned On MSNBC and CNN

I wanted to see the lead story, it was the same for both. The lead story on MSNBC and CNN was that a 29 point underdog lost her primary election.

I am not watching anything else until Chris Hayes comes on, and I must say his return from vacation hasn't inspired me.

I'm going outside to fix the gear shifter on my bicycle.

Jennifer Rubin Quotes on the Stolen Documents.

“A defeated former president who was at the center of a failed coup allegedly walks out the door with nuclear secrets, refuses to give them back and then leaves a creepy, semi-threatening message for the attorney general — that’s apparently where we are. “Donald Trump and his apologists are as dangerous to our national security as spies and traitors who would spirit away our most closely held secrets. The documents at issue supposedly include material so confidential it merits a top-secret rating (TS/SCI) that no president — let alone an ex-president — can wish away…. The more facts we know, the worse it gets.”

Rubin interviewed legal/national security expert Ryan Goodman for her column, and Goodman discussed the Espionage Age implications of the Mar-a-Lago search and federal investigation.

Goodman told Rubin, “Even if Trump waved the presidential wand and made a top-secret document unclassified, it would not alter one iota the intelligence community’s determination that the information, if released, could be ‘expected to cause exceptionally grave damage to the national security.’ That kind of material goes to the very heart of what the Espionage Act is designed to protect.”

Rubin also interviewed former federal prosecutor Renato Mariotti, who told her, “Because DOJ bent over backward to accommodate Trump and asked him repeatedly for the documents, they can establish that he knew he was breaking the law and that he was trying to conceal classified material from investigators.”

Rubin ends her column on a scathing note, lambasting Trump’s GOP defenders for caring more about Trump than they care about the United States’ national security.

“If the reported facts are true,” Rubin writes, “Trump knowingly took the country’s most sensitive secrets, refused to give them back and, through his lawyer, falsely attested he had no such documents…. No senior civilian official, let alone the president, has ever engaged in such appalling conduct. And the GOP not only defends him, but smears and endangers the FBI through deliberate disinformation. No national party has ever done that, either. Whatever criminal indictments follow, all but MAGA cultists should acknowledge that neither Trump nor his party is fit to hold office.”
