Please consider that Congress passed a Covid-19 Relief Bill that required 5593 pages of....

....bullshit and complications that were necessary to get the people a little bit of help, while it only took 1246 pages for Great Britain and Europe to define an entirely new trade agreement. Years ago David Brinkley, when he was still doing the Huntley-Brinkley Report, did a commentary on the show opining that Congress should be required to have any new law that they passed be limited to a single sheet of 8 1/2 by 11 paper. He held that this would limit the amount of mischief that they could get into. Fifty years down the road and things have certainly got worse.

My neighbor's Christmas card this year is photos of neighborhood yard signs that she saw.....

.....this fall as she walked the dog. We're in a pretty "blue" neighborhood in a really "red" city, so it's kind of nice to see.

It's hard to keep up with all the Trump's bullshit. A writer at the Huffington Post, today wrote....

.....the following about Sidney Powell:

Powell has been stingingly criticized for promoting a bizarre conspiracy theory that Americans working with Venezuela, China, Serbia, Canada, Venezuela, Cuba, the CIA, billionaire philanthropist George Soros and the Clinton Foundation (among others) plotted to rig the presidential election against Trump by tampering with voting machines.

Serbia? Fercrissakes, Serbia? When the hell did they become a player in this shit storm of misinformation?

Just watched SNL opening and their send up of that crazy lady witness with Rudy in Michigan....

....a women named Melissa Carone, was absolutely pitch perfect. Cicily Strong could not have been more perfect, not since Tina Fey did Sarah Palin was a character done so well.

Interesting AMA interview with Dr. Fauci about Covid in the coming year.

It's gets a bit technical as it's directed at physicians but clarifies a lot about our prospects in 2021. Sobering stuff.

Mailman just dropped off my Washington State mail-in ballot. Opened it and could not....

.....wait to vote for Joe. On my way out the door to drop it off at the drop box at the library. I don't feel silly at all about wanting to do this immediately because I've been waiting for four years for this moment.

Remember Florida in 2000 when Repubs were defending late arriving ballots....

.....from U.S. Military overseas? This because "Dubya" did well with the military vote. Won't be seeing that so much this year.

This is quite a litany of all the damage that Trump has done to our country....

....in the past three years. It's from a Huffington Post article about a Washington Post editorial.

Trump had “torched” the country’s “standing in the world, loyalty to allies, commitment to democratic values, constitutional checks and balances, faith in reason and science, concern for Earth’s health, respect for public service, belief in civility and honest debate, beacon to refugees in need, aspirations to equality and diversity and basic decency,” it added.

Yep, that's a pretty good summary, at least of the general highlights.

Seems like a good time to revisit my favorite Steve Bannon meme......

....the one that involves pork bits in gelatin.

Has anyone else thought about the "Post-President Trumps Era" when we.....

.... are confronted with considering a Donald Trump Presidential Library, the unveiling of his official portrait at the White House or (on a happier note) whether he should lie in state under the Capitol rotunda in a place made more holy today by John Lewis?
