Now Democrats should vote no on the compromise

Make Trump go all or nothing with his national emergency scam.
Why give him 1.6 billion if he thinks he doesn't need Congress anyway?

Voter tells Washington Post why he supports Tulsi Gabbard

Very interesting and fucked up reason to support a Democrat, from an article by Dave Weigel :

“She never publicly endorsed Clinton,” said Ryan Mostone, 35, at the Fairfield event. “She seemed to pretty much hate her, which was awesome. That's when she earned my respect.”

There goes the reputation of Meredith Watson (Second Fairfax accuser)

Meredith Watson detained a man against his will and threatened to kill herself, according to a man who was granted his wish of an order of protection against her in 2008.
I have not read of heard anything against the first accuser, but this second one appears to be batshit-crazy if she indeed committed those acts. And apparently she is guilty, because believe the victim.

"The man sought and received a peace order against Meredith Watson in July 2008, the records show. A peace order falls under the “umbrella term” of a restraining order in the state of Maryland, University of Maryland law professor Leigh Goodmark said. It is applied to situations in which a person may need to ask for distance from someone who isn't their spouse or live-in partner, he said."

Second woman who accused Fairfax of assault was subject of 2008 restraining order

Source: Politico

A woman who alleged Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax raped her in college was accused of harassing and threatening a man she had a relationship with, according to Maryland court records.

The man sought and received a peace order against Meredith Watson in July 2008, the records show. A peace order falls under the “umbrella term” of a restraining order in the state of Maryland, University of Maryland law professor Leigh Goodmark said. It is applied to situations in which a person may need to ask for distance from someone who isn't their spouse or live-in partner, he said.

In a petition for the restraining order, obtained by POLITICO, the man described an incident in which Watson “was detaining me against my will ... [and] not letting me leave” a vacation house in Corolla, N.C., and “dented the trunk” of his vehicle with her fist. In another instance, Watson showed up at his house stating “she was going to kill herself” and sent “threatening text messages” to the man, who had his sister come over to persuade her to leave, according to the document.

Some have raised the possibility that Watson falsely accused Fairfax of rape as part of revenge of some sort.
Now that we learned she abducted a man and threatened to kill herself, this theory becomes plausible.

Notice I didn't use the word "allegedly".

Believe the accuser. Don't attack the victim. Remember?

Will Trump sign the border compromise bill?

Democrats and Republicans agreed on a bill to avert another shutdown. Do you predict that he will or will not sign it?

What people are saying about Tulsi Gabbard in Iowa

Buzzfeed interviewed several people who like the candidacy of Tulsi Gabbard in Iowa:

The crowd was eclectic. It was, Fairfield resident David Goodman suggested, “probably … the only place in America that knows what her name means.” (“Holy basil, and it’s actually used in Ayurveda, which a lot of people know about it, so they know about Tulsi”). A libertarian consultant who worked for Gary Johnson in 2016 helped tape up signs.
Some, like Dane and Nancy Urban, were scoping out the field — but they were excited about the number of women candidates this cycle, and “anybody who’s willing to come to our small town, we’re willing to come out and see them,” Nancy said.

Others, like Ed Noyes, an independent, were drawn to her “courage” to speak out against regime change wars, though not yet enough so to change his affiliation and vote for her in a primary.

*“They’re basically doing the same thing to her that they did to Trump* and continue to do to Trump,” he said, pointing to the “bullshit” investigation into alleged Russian collusion. *The “they,” he said, was “the deep state.”

She seems to be attractive to Non-Democrats.
