Kanye West delivers impromptu 'keynote' at Washington Apple store

Obviously Kayne is seriously ill.

Following his meeting with President Donald Trump, rapper Kanye West visited an Apple Store in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, where he proceeded to climb atop a display table and deliver a "keynote" to gathered customers.

The scene was chronicled by Religion News Service reporter Jack Jenkins, who happened to be at Apple Georgetown when Kanye decided to drop in.

Shared on Twitter, Jenkins' account starts off as a celebrity sighting, but quickly takes a turn for the surreal when West asks to give an impromptu "keynote" to customers in the store.

According to Jenkins, West said he made a hat for Trump that reads "make America great," a take on the president's "Make America Great Again" or "MAGA" slogan. Trump donned the cap during his meeting with West earlier today, the rapper said, showing proof of the encounter on his iPhone.

West claimed the inclusion of "again" in Trump's catchphrase "hurts b[l]ack people," according to Jenkins.

It’s time to stop playing nice with Trump supporters and standardise on a name they deserve:-

White House Sends F.B.I. Interviews on Kavanaugh to Senate

Source: NYT

WASHINGTON — The White House sent summaries of interviews conducted by the F.B.I. to the Senate early Thursday morning and expressed confidence that none of the information collected by agents should stand in the way of the Senate voting to confirm Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.

The material was conveyed to Capitol Hill in the middle of the night, just hours after Senate Republicans set the stage for a pair of votes later in the week to move to final approval of Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination. A statement issued by the White House around 2:30 a.m. said the F.B.I. had completed its work and that it represented an unprecedented look at a nominee.

“The White House has received the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s supplemental background investigation into Judge Kavanaugh, and it is being transmitted to the Senate,” Raj Shah, a White House spokesman, said in the statement, which was posted on Twitter.

White House Finds No Support in FBI Report for Claims Against Kavanaugh

Source: WSJ

WASHINGTON—The White House has found no corroboration of the allegations of sexual misconduct against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh after examining interview reports from the FBI’s latest probe into the judge’s background, according to people familiar with the matter.

It was unclear whether the White House, which for weeks has raised doubts about the allegations, had completed its review of the FBI interview reports. Officials were expected to be sending the FBI report to the Senate Judiciary Committee late Wednesday.

Still, the White House’s conclusions from the report are not definitive at this point in the confirmation process. Senators who will decide Mr. Kavanaugh’s fate are set to review the findings on Thursday, and some of them may draw different conclusions.

Trump mocks Dr. Christine Blasey Ford's sexual assault testimony at Mississippi rally

Source: CNN

President Donald Trump for the first time directly mocked Christine Blasey Ford's testimony before the Senate Judicary Committee at a rally in Mississippi, casting doubt on her testimony about her alleged sexual assault.

Trump imitated Ford during her testimony before the crowd, mocking her for not knowing the answer to questions such as how she got to the party.

"'I had one beer.' Well do you think it was... 'Nope. It was one beer.' Oh good. How did you get home? 'I don't remember.' How did you get there? 'I don't remember.' Where is the place? 'I don't remember.' How many years ago was it? 'I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.' What neighborhood was it in? 'I don't know.' Where's the house? 'I don't know. Upstairs. Downstairs. I don't know. But I had one beer that's the only thing I remember.'

"And a man's life is in tatters," Trump said. "A man's life is shattered."

Well I've put up my first post in GD for years

I don’t care to much if I’ve made a fool of myself, I just hope I haven’t led people down the garden path. Time will tell.

Whatever the FBI finds, Kavanaugh will NOT be confirmed for SCOTUS

I got into Yale Law School. That’s the number one law school in the country. I had no connections there. I got there by busting my tail in college. Kavanaugh under Oath to the Senate.

Everett Edward Kavanaugh, Brett’s grandfather, attended Yale as an undergraduate student. Everett’s Name appears Yale’s 1928 year book. Brett Kavanaugh was a Yale legacy Student.

That’s it. There’s no way out. No wriggle room. However faulty Kavanaugh recollection of events 30+ years ago may be there’s no doubt at all he would be aware of his family’s connection with Yale. It’s as open and shut as you can get – Lying under Oath.

Flake was asked on 60 minutes If Judge Kavanaugh is shown to have lied to the committee, (his) nomination’s over? Oh yes, Flake responded.

There may be no way out for Kavanaugh, but Kav’s pathetic little lie provides a very welcome out for Flake and his flakettes, the GOP, Trump and conservative jurists. The last thing they want is to have a protracted discussion about a how an apparatchik with a drinking problem and a ‘checkered’ past came to be nominated for the highest court in the land.

Whatever the FBI’s findings Flake et al will try to zero in on Kav’s pathetic little lie, with the tacit support of the Republican leadership, conservative jurists, and I’d wager the Chief Justice. Kavanaugh testimony backfired Big Time. He is figure of fun, of ridicule, at least for those women who don’t recognise the angry abusive men who have traumatised them and their friends.

Kavanaugh was the guy who was supposed to cement a conservative majority on SCOTUS. He is compromised. Trump will dump him – he’s loyal to no one. I expect we will here something like “Judge Kavanaugh mad a stupid mistake. It’s a tragedy. He’s a brilliant man, but I’m deferring to the Senate”

End of Story.

EDIT: It may be that Kavaugh’s statement he had no connection to Yale Law School is not clear cut perjury. If so I apologise for posting a dead end . Time is too short for sloppy mistakes. Sorry.
