The sad fact is that I never heard Mr. Trump say anything in private that led me to believe he loved our nation or wanted to make it better. In fact, he did the opposite.
the cats must think i'm crazy
when the ol' lady wakes up i'll do this number for her. ladies and gentlemen, the dynamic wilson picket.........
quick defense of progressive taxation.
what am i leaving out?
relatively richer americans on a progressive scale
have more property to protect with our armed forces, they use the highway more. who can say that the jet set do not fly more? they are more likely to use the court system and their corporations benefit by every brick of infrastructure and every healthy educated employee.
progressive taxation also encourages persons to hire, spend, and donate unto the economy which allowed them to accumulate wealth,
prigressive taxation helps to prevent the great disparity of wealth which allows them to influence the tax code (and every other aspect of the culture) in their favor.
my little darling was tested for pemphigus foliacerus
and we are waiting for the results.
we thought it was a flea allergy infection last summer, and after a few weeks of antibiotic baths, daily mousse, and antibiotics it seemed to clear.
came back about 2 weeks ago, the vet found not a flea on her. therefore the tests.
i really hate to pull the plug, as she is a sweet little cat who sleeps in my arms. does anyone have experience with this?
speaker pelosi?
we are democrats, very difficult to agree on anything.
several of the new democrats promised to vote against ms pelosi for speaker, and i respect that. i do think that a majority of the house democrats will vote for ms pelosi.
a second ballot can then be held with a unanimous result.
it is ungortunate that repub tactics and trump lies and villianization had a place in the congressional election, but they are what they are and i'm happy and supportive of whatever it took to get them to congress.

weird scene at the winn dixie (part 1)
there is an old homeless lady in my neighborhood, maybe a few years younger than me, she has cancer in her uterous and a social worker who occasionally finds her a group home. is it terrible that i don't remember her name?
she doesn't remember my name either, but sometimes i give her a ride to the social worker's.
i have been out of the hospital for about a week, and i look a little homeless myself. i've been told not to shave because i'm taking intravenous antibiotics and heperin to keep my blood from clotting. i guess one slip of a razor and the bathroom could be a real mess.
last sunday i was picking up litter on our street, about the most exercise that i can handle, when the old homeless lady asked me for a ride to the convenience store. she wanted something to eat for breakfast.
i had to go inside to get my wallet and keys. i saw 2 $20s sitting on top of my wallet, probably all the cash i had. when i dropped the old lady off at the store i handed her one of the $20s and wished her "happy thanksgiving." "bless you, " she replied as she closed the car door and slipped into the convenience store.
i spent the week doing the medical chores necessary to keep me out of the hospital. three intravenous antibiotics a day, 2 hours in the hyperbaric chamber, dressing the wound where my toe used to be, and taking hands full of pills several times a day.
meanwhile my wife could not decide what to do about thanksgiving. going out is not an option because of all the medical equipment i would have to drag to my brother's house, and he has enough of his own problems. having people in did not seem likely either.
we talked enough to know that cooking a turkey, even a small one, would be too much for just the 2 of us. i suggested a couple of cornish hens with stovetop stuffing, but she was not excited about that.
finally, wednesday, yesterday, she wanted a ride to the grocery........
How is turnout in your precinct?
I usually work at a 9th ward precinct. I'm in the hospital so can't help for this election. I did call the girl in charge and offered to help (tech assist with provisional etc) by telephone, but voters were lined up and she couldn't talk.
Our congressman should be re-elected easily, and, unfortunately no other la districts seem flippable.
What do you think?
