The Republicans Senators were paid off in the new "tax and spend" bill in exchange for their vote on Kavanaugh.
I'm going to make a wild prediction
Even if they confirm Kavanaugh, during the next two months more accusers will come forward, not just against Kavanaugh but also against a number of Judges and Republican men.
Watch and see. I can feel a visceral revulsion rising up in the women of America who have decided ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
Anybody else here ever had to deal with alcoholics (wet or dry)?
I have, as a drug & alcohol abuse counselor in the Air Force and later working with AA. Judge Kavanaugh has the typical "ruddy complexion" of someone who has or has had a problem with alcohol. Also the rapidly changing moods are another giveaway.
When will Americans stop lying to themselves (and the world) about America?
No, we are not “color-blind”.
No, we do not have either “equal rights” or “equal opportunities”.
No, we do not have “freedom and justice for all”.
No, Justice is not “blind”.
No, we are not “a peace-loving Nation”.
Yes, America supplies at least half the weapons made and sold in the world.
Yes, America is an Empire and a bully.
Yes, we prop up dictators we like and seek to overthrow leaders we don’t like.
UNFORTUNATELY, I COULD GO ON AND ON.

How many more women...
How many more women brave enough to report sexual assault only to get ignored, defamed, ridiculed, mocked, get death threats, etc. etc. will it take before Republicans stop wondering why more women don’t come forward to report these assaults?
Church and State
The merging of Church and State ALWAYS leads to Anti-intellectual Authoritarianism and selfish Individualism over Community.
The same goes for the merging of Corporations and State (AKA Fascism).
Individualism = We is Us and Us is Me.
Community = Not I, WE.
I am very suspicious of Brett Kavanaugh
Why would anyone need to memorize talking points and spend 4 days cooped up at the WH to practice/prepare his testimony when he’s just “telling the truth”?
IMO, truth-tellers don’t need 4 days to “practice” to tell the truth; only liars do.
Are there ANY Pro-Choice Catholic Judges on the Bench?
If one cannot be a "good Catholic" and be pro-choice, doesn't that automatically disqualify all Catholic judges from sitting on the SC? Their minds are already made up (by the Church, not legal reasoning) regarding Roe vs Wade.
There seems to be a conflict between "freedom of religion" and obeying the Law.
RE: Kavanaugh confirmation. Don't get distracted.
Even before Dr. Ford’s accusation of sexual assault against Brett Kavanaugh, there have been more than enough reasons to reject his confirmation to SC. Here are just a few off the top of my head:
1) Credible accusations Kavanaugh lied at last two confirmation hearings.
2) Credible accusations that Kavanaugh “misrepresented” his judicial record.
3) Kavanaugh has a history of excessive drinking (including UNDERAGE drinking).
4) Kavanaugh has a history of very large gambling debts.
5) Kavanaugh has a questionable financial history re: very large mortgage, gambling debts suddenly getting paid off, etc.
6) Very curious: A Go-Daddy website called The http://confirmkavanaugh.com domain was purchased last year on February 2, 2017, long before he was nominated by Trump.
Who knows what else will come up or what else the Republicans are trying to cover up.
