Transition will uncover embarrasing and illegal information.

I just realized that it might not just be petty spite.

How long is it before Biden's team finds out there is absolutely no plan to deal with Covid, including prep work to aid vaccine distribution? Days at best.

How long will it take Biden's team to find out there are plans and activities that are illegal?

Petty spite is probably still the main reason, but things will begin to come out as Biden's team gets up to speed.

Nothing compares

How are you celebrating?

We’re heading into town (tucson) to breathe some freer air and see everyone else. I’m already buzzed.

With a speech that was embarrassing to watch, Trump's team just made it clear he'll be the sorest lo

‘We’re going to have a look at how many dead people have voted here,’ Giuliani said — and wouldn’t a zombie army of the Biden-supporting undead be very 2020?

Things are not looking good for Donald J Trump right now; even his beloved Fox News pundits are gritting their teeth, looking at each other a little nervously, and talking about “narrow paths to victory”. What does a prospective leader of the free world do when he’s on the ropes? Well, sometimes he concedes gracefully. Sometimes he comes out — as Joe Biden did during the night — to tell his supporters to keep their chins up and stay optimistic. And sometimes he gets his son and Rudy Giuliani to rant about conspiracy theories outside an airport in Philadelphia.

So it was that Eric Trump, Lara Trump, Rudy Giuliani and Corey Lewandowski stepped in front of cameras just now, sans president. It was a press conference that was originally planned for 3.30pm ET, cancelled, and then un-cancelled and rescheduled for an hour later. At 4.35pm, Team Trump wandered out in front of a gathering of people in Stars and Stripes masks holding “Make America Great Again” signs. And what a motley crew it was.

First up was Eric, a man no one has ever accused of possessing a statesmanlike quality. Continuing his performance piece from the Republican convention, he flailed his arms and declared victory for Dad in Pennsylvania, screaming that “ballots have been found in drainage ditches”, there was “rampant corruption”, and “this isn’t democracy”. Giuliani crouched behind him, holding on to a comically oversized book which was presumedly supposed to make him look legally intimidating. The former mayor of New York would be “basically leading” the legal efforts for team Trump, Eric said, before handing over.

Are we there yet?

I've been wanting to ask that ever since my kids were young. I always told them "yes we're here". For some reason we never asked that as we were taking busses or trains or walking wherever we were going as kids so I feel cheated. It wasn't as big a thrill as I expected but still fun.

Finished work so time for some wine and medicine. Maybe it won't have to be medicine after today.

And thanks for everyone who is posting updates. I hate watching it live and am glad DU is up so I can refresh and get updates.

Voted in AZ

Got there around 5 minutes before it opened. Was probably around the 20th voter. The line before 6am has never been more than 1 or 2 people.

They opened on time and once they got moving it was fast. The line moved, then stalled for a few minutes - I think the poll workers were still trying to wake up. Was done by 6:15 or so.

Everyone was distancing and masked except for one family of bozos. Husband, wife and two kids showed up unmasked. Wife went into polling place trying to say she got an email to be there. Poll worker made her leave after a couple of minutes. "You don't have any credentials I recognize so you have to leave".

The people on line were not amused. It was handled as well as can be expected.

The line was still longer than normal when I left. About the same length as when I got there, so turn out looks good.
