The power is in our hands

We can't just wait for or expect the Mueller investigation to fix this atrocity.

We must take back the House and make inroads in the Senate.

GOTV! That's the only sure way.

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and Tammy Duckworth are not at odds.

Don't buy any bullshit spin that they are.

Republicans, Russians, and anti-Democratic Party deviants are trying to push this divisive nonsense.

The con artists twisted a Jake Tapper interview into bullshit spin.

Don't fall for it.

Governor Cuomo Leads Multi-State Coalition in Demanding Answers Regarding Families Separated at the

Governors from Across the Country Issue Open Letter to Secretary of Health and Human Services and Secretary of Homeland Security:

"As parents, we are heartbroken by the unimaginable pain inflicted on thousands of unwitting children who have done nothing wrong and parents who often have valid claims for refugee or asylum status. As governors, we will not stay silent as long as these children remain unjustly detained in our states, separated from their parents simply because of this Administration's unwillingness or ineptitude to govern legally with humanity and compassion."

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today led a multi-state coalition including Washington, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Oregon in issuing a letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar and Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen demanding answers concerning the reunification of immigrant families separated at the border.

Donald Trump's disgusting message to women

(CNN) — Heads up, women; there's something Donald Trump wants you to know.

He has just named former Fox News chief Bill Shine as White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications. On the same day, he also mocked the #MeToo movement, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and Rep. Maxine Waters, sending a very clear -- and frankly disgusting -- message about where he stands on harassment, assault, and the mistreatment of women.

In fact, this would have been the perfect moment to bring out Melania Trump's infamous jacket, the one that caused a media firestorm when she wore it to -- of all things -- visit detained migrant children. Perhaps the President could appear on the White House balcony wearing the jacket, turn his back to America's women, and flash the message it delivers in big white letters: "I really don't care."

How Republicans and Russians will attempt to divide Democrats

1. Continue to sow discord among Clinton supporters and Sanders supporters. Sadly the media is also complacent with this. Ignore it. The vast majority of Democrats are not relitigating the 2016 elections.

2. Al Franken and #Metoo. Republicans and Russians would like nothing better than to sow discord in this debate. Fear and anger are powerful motivators. They know it, and they will use it.

3. Same as above, except substitute it for all Civil Rights. Whether it's Black Lives Matter, Women's Rights, LGBT Rights, Immigrant Rights, or simple bigotry and hatred against Muslims, Jews, etc.. They will use systemic bigotry as a tool to create anger and hostility towards minorities.

4. Continue to spread the false meme that the Democratic Party doesn't stand for anything. They will continue to push that the Democratic Party has no message other than being anti-Trump.

5. Continue to push the false narrative that so called Independents and millennials are joining with the Republicans.

This is what the Republicans and Russians are pushing. When you see such narratives, push back.

Pro-Trump & Russian-Linked Twitter Accounts Are Posing As Ex-Democrats

As pundits, politicians, and other Very Serious People spent last weekend admonishing “the left” for not being civil enough in their approach to pushing back against the Trump administration’s cruel policy of forcibly separating immigrant children from their parents, a peculiar and carefully crafted narrative began to take shape on social media. A closer look at this emerging narrative—a self-described “grassroots movement” of former Democrats fleeing the party—revealed an astroturfed campaign driven by pro-Trump Twitter users and amplified by automated and Russian-linked accounts.

The surge of tweets started on Saturday, June 23, when news broke that White House press secretary Sarah Sanders had been quietly asked to leave a restaurant in Lexington, VA, the night before. The social media campaign really took off the next day, after Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) said in a speech that administration officials who support Trump’s policies should expect to face pushback when they go out in public.

Most of the tweets were strikingly similar, and the vast majority pushed a very familiar narrative. Using the hashtag #WalkAway and claiming to be former Democrats, social media users shared their stories of leaving the Democratic party after being turned off by the “hate” and “division” of “the left.” Many of them cited the incidents involving Sanders and Waters as examples of the “intolerance” and “bullying” that supposedly drove them to support Trump after years—in some cases, decades—of voting for Democrats.

Not surprising at all.

Rhode Island Democrats rescind backing for Trump supporter

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — A political candidate who was endorsed by the Rhode Island Democratic Party over an incumbent female lawmaker despite voting for Donald Trump says the party has rescinded its endorsement.

The endorsement unleashed the frustrations of some Democrats who said the party wasn't representing the views of women and had failed to take action on issues important to them, including sexual harassment.

Michael Earnheart is running for state representative against sitting Rep. Moira Walsh. He says in an emailed statement that he got the news from Democratic Party Chairman Joseph McNamara on Thursday. Earnheart says he does not want to be a distraction and accepts the decision.
