Senate investigators told Trump Jr.'s...calls weren't with his father - Update:Callers Identified

On CNN now:

Senate investigators have obtained new information showing Donald Trump Jr.'s mysterious phone calls ahead of the 2016 Trump Tower meeting were not with his father, three sources with knowledge of the matter told CNN.

Records provided to the Senate Intelligence Committee show the calls were between Trump Jr. and two of his business associates, the sources said, and appear to contradict Democrats' long-held suspicions that the blocked number was from then-candidate Donald Trump.

EDIT:

NEW - Sources tell @ABC News the identities of the blocked calls with Donald Trump Jr - 2 longtime Trump family friends and supporters - NASCAR CEO Brian France and real estate developer Howard Lorber - from me and @mattmosk

BREAKING: One call was to Howard Lorber.

"Trump’s ties with Lorber run deep...[and] have attracted the interest of congressional investigators. In the 90s, when Trump started exploring real estate options in Russia, Lorber accompanied him on a tour of Moscow."

This feels fishy.

Mueller team signals to Stone associate another indictment may be in the works

Anyone ready for more indictments?

A defense attorney for Andrew Miller, who's fighting a subpoena from Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, learned Monday afternoon that the special counsel still wants witness testimony for a federal grand jury.

Paul Kamenar, the defense attorney, says the assertion from Mueller's team made clear to him that Mueller and the Justice Department are considering an additional indictment of Roger Stone or have plans to charge others.
...
In a court hearing about Miller's testimony, a judge made clear that Mueller sought information Miller had about Stone's communications regarding Wikileaks and Russian hackers around the time they disseminated damaging hacked Democratic emails.

"The special counsel has advised me the grand jury is still interested in Andrew Miller, and they consider the case still a live case," Kamenar told CNN late Monday afternoon.

Adam Schiff comments on Whitaker comment

An Acting Attorney General who refuses to follow the advice of ethics lawyers and recuse himself from an investigation in which he has shown a clear bias is the last person who should speak for the Special Counsel.

While the probe is ongoing, Mueller can speak for himself.

GOP Sen. Cory Gardner to break with Republicans on Trump's wall

They're starting to crack, folks! Keep up the pressure!

Colorado Republican Sen. Cory Gardner’s spokesman told us Wednesday he intends to vote for a clean funding bill that would open the government with no increased border-security funding attached.

Today: Pelosi reiterates Trump's offer is a nonstarter

You tell him, Madame Speaker!

At Capitol today, @SpeakerPelosi again dismisses @POTUS deal to end Government shutdown "as a nonstarter." "We cannot have the president, every time he has an objection. say, ‘I’ll shut down the Government until you come to my way of thinking.’"

Trump's legal team contacted Mueller Friday morning, regarding Buzzfeed article

Well, this isn't suspicious at all, right?

Rudy Giuliani tells CNN that Trump’s legal team reached out to the special counsel Robert Mueller’s office regarding the BuzzFeed article Friday morning. Giuliani would not offer further detail about what they said to Mueller’s office.

Tulsi Gabbard today: "Both sides...unwilling to come together..."

Welp:

TAPPER: "You're not just blaming President Trump on this. You're also blaming Democratic leaders in Congress."

GABBARD: "Both sides have completely hardened their positions and are unwilling to come together and work out the differences. And that's the problem here."

It's time for Mueller to get off the damned pot already.

Mueller is taking too damned long. Whitaker is installed. Barr will soon be installed. The government is shutdown. The president is tweeting racist right-wing shit (prayer rugs!?).

The investigation of whether the President is controlled by Russia is a political question. The investigation needs to be more in the open. It cannot run entirely in the shadows. The public has not been prepped for what is eventually coming.

Mueller doesn't need to issue the report now. He doesn't need to finish now. But he needs to fucking say something!

Why hasn't Stone been indicted? Why not Corsi? Why not Trump Jr.? What the hell is he waiting for?

Why hasn't he subpoenaed Trump already to ask him those questions?! Why has he given Trump all this time to ignore the questions? It is time to get answers to those questions!

We've gone YET ANOTHER WEEK with no fucking indictments! I'm tired of this.

Mueller ALREADY strongly hinted at the claims in the Buzzfeed report

Read, again, what Mueller said in his sentencing memo for Michael Cohen. Reading between the lines, and knowing what Mueller can't yet say, strongly hints that the BUzzfeed story is true.

The defendant lied to Congress about a business project (the “Moscow Project”) that he worked on during the 2016 presidential campaign, while he served as Executive Vice President at a Manhattan-based real estate company (the “Company”) and as Special Counsel to the owner of the Company (“Individual 1”). The defendant admitted he told these lies—which he made publicly and in submissions to Congress—in order to (1) minimize links between the Moscow Project and Individual 1 and (2) give the false impression that the Moscow Project had ended before the Iowa caucus and the first presidential primaries, in hopes of limiting the ongoing Russia investigations being conducted by Congress and the SCO.
....
During his proffer sessions, the defendant admitted that this account was false and that he had in fact conferred with Individual 1 about contacting the Russian government before reaching out to gauge Russia’s interest in such a meeting.
....
Third, Cohen provided relevant and useful information concerning his contacts with persons connected to the White House during the 2017–2018 time period.

Fourth, Cohen described the circumstances of preparing and circulating his response to the
congressional inquiries, while continuing to accept responsibility for the false statements contained
within it.

Who are the "persons connected to the White House"? The gardner?
Who did he circulate his false testimony to? The White House chef?
