She just told Rachel Maddow that she is going to announce whether she will be running for President at an event in Minnesota on Sunday. The way Klobuchar said it (she used the phrase "drop the mic" , it seems like the only interpretation is that she will announce that she's running.

Dump brought out Holocaust survivors to pimp his policy of hostility with Iran

He launched into how Iran is "an evil regime, a really evil regime, bad, very, very bad" (after saying how strong a relationship he has with Kim Jong Un) and that Iran has called for the destruction of Israel and we can never tolerate anti-semitism (from the man who didn't know who David Duke was and said that there were fine people on both sides in Charlottesville).

It was right then that he brought out Holocaust survivors and US soldiers who liberated Dachau for applause (and a cop that responded to the synagogue massacre in Pittsburgh.) This is an astounding level of manipulation. It's unfortunate that the Holocaust survivor doesn't realize that the greatest honor they could pay to their experience is to not allow it to be part of this demagogue's narrative.

That's the only way I could sit through this. Someone like Robert Smigel (who did the voice of Triumph the insult comic dog & all the voices from the fake interviews on the old Conan show) would probably be hilarious at it. It would get big ratings.

This is like the 14th thread posted on GHWB in 14 minutes, but have the Bush's ever made any comment on whether the Traitor in Chief will be allowed to attend/speak at this funeral? Hopefully, GHWB made it clear that he didn't want that and this will go the McCain route and can be a glaring reminder of the national disgrace we have now.

But, this is a Presidential funeral and there probably will be Republican pressure to have him there.

Would a random 12 year old as President say fewer nonsensical half baked things than Donald Trump? Finland is in the fucking arctic. Is northern Canada plagued by wildfires? Because, that's also a "forest country". It was kind of funny watching Gavin Newsom & Jerry Brown nod their heads to this bullshit so Trump will just expedite relief funding.

Is this about Trump using the situation as an opportunity to push for more logging in state/federal forests?

I just saw this story, maybe many are already aware of it, but the blatant fraudulence of EVERYTHING these people touch is incredible. At least they're consistent.

On Sunday, the day after the Pittsburgh shootings, Pence appeared at a Michigan campaign stop with a fake "Christian rabbi" who gave opening prayers that referenced "Jesus the Messiah" and petitioned God to grant Republican victories in the midterms.

If Kkkavanaugh is withdrawn/denied confirmation how long until the next appointee?

This falls under counting chickens before they're hatched, but if Ford's testimony damages Kavanaugh enough that he loses Collins/Murkowski/Flake support and he is not confirmed, it would probably be until after the midterms until a replacement appointee could come to the floor for a vote, right?

What would be great about that is that the red state Senators facing re-election would no longer have any pressure to confirm because they'd either be lame ducks or re-elected to new 6 year terms. And, if Mueller is holding his haymakers until after the mid-terms so that he isn't accused of trying to influence the election, Trump could be in a weakened state with his new appointment.

Then, it's not far from Christmas break and if it could somehow remain unfilled until January, if there is a Democratic Senate, it could be Merrick Garland payback time.

Am I being way too optimistic to even think this?
