About Me

I am a Brit. I am a working class child of the troubles in Belfast who now lives a life of privilege. I am an anti-racist, progressive monster for truth. If I fail in being that monster, call me out....

Fucker is trying to make money while selling snake oil treatments

REPORTER: Will you commit that no money from the emergency stimulus bill will go to your own properties?

TRUMP: "I have no idea what they're talking about. Everything is changing. But I have no idea ... let's just see what happens."

(That's definitely not a yes!)

Trump on using unproven and dangerous drugs for coronavirus: "Why should we be testing it in a test tube for a year and a half when we have thousands of people that are very sick, and we can use it on those people and maybe make them better?"

I have no words. Be safe people, he makes BoJo look like a fucking genius... going to call it again 25th amendment...

It is almost like Trump could forsee the future...

A tweet for every fuck upped wanker thing he has done

Trump on taking responsibility and providing leadership during this pandemic...

It is just like having a failed business man sociopath for a President is worse than having no President at all...

Heh.

Michigan governor blames GOP and 'separation of church and state' on failure to ban megachurch

gatherings

“One thing that kind of puzzles me is that you have limited groups of people to 50 or fewer,” Roberts explained. “Yet, there is an exemption for places of worship. Why would a place of worship be any less likely to transmit diseases in a larger gathering than another place?”

“It’s not,” Whitmer agreed. “And we’re discouraging people from gathering at all.”

“So, why this exemption?” Roberts pressed.

Well, you know, the separation of church and state, and the Republican legislature asked me to clarify that that’s an area that we don’t have the ability to enforce and control,” Whitmer said. “We are encouraging people though, do no congregate.”

Yet another example of the grift being more important than the people. Megachurch gotta get paid after all - so they can spend their congregants bucks on buying influence from the republicans, who are then telling the governor that he cannot shut churches down. And round and round and round they go - not caring about the risk to lives.

AOC Rips 'Abhorrent' Proposal to Let DOJ Detain People Indefinitely: 'Urgent Times' Are 'No Reason'

to Waive Civil Rights

As Ocasio-Cortez spoke to CNN’s Jake Tapper about the ongoing national situation, she was asked for her thoughts on the DOJ’s proposal. Her response was a flat-out rejection:

“I think it is abhorrent. This is not a time — there is a long history in this country and in other countries of using emergencies as times to really start to encroach upon people’s civil rights and, in fact, this is the time when we need them the absolute most. We have to keep an eye out for these kind of authoritarian and frankly, for this expansion of — and rather, suspension of rule of law. It does not matter how urgent times are, we have to maintain our civil rights and there’s no reason to be waiving folks’ civil rights in an emergency.”

Give Trump and Barr that power right now - to round up and detain without trial - democracy would be over in the United States... she is right, it is abhorrent...

This 4-year-old just made coronavirus panic-buyers look very very bad

https://twitter.com/eliistender10/status/1240910924128702464

She makes some pretty valid points:

There'll be no food left if they take all of it!

Indeed.

If you came to Tesco to buy some food for your supper, WHY would you take all this food?!

The girl then goes on to suggest they sack off Tesco and go to Morrison's instead, to find more food, at which point the woman patiently explains that it'll likely be a similar situation there. To which the girl responds:

You're joking. It's a joke!

Yes, this girl is all of us.

When the four year old gets it but they are still descending like locusts on the loo roll I think we can safely say that they literally lack the common sense of a four year old. Not a great look!

This needs reposting from time 2 time. Based on the last week, now seems as good a time as any...

Heh. Sadly, at this point his point his gross incompetence has turned deadly...

Trump should be denied the oxygen of the media until he starts using facts...

As Rachel Maddow said on her show: "If it were up to me, and it's not, I would stop putting those briefings on live TV. Not out of spite, but because it's misinformation. If the president does end up say anything true, you can run it as tape. But if he keeps lying ... Honestly, it's going to cost lives."

She is not wrong. When Fauci - you know the actual expert in the room – the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force addressing the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic – does this while standing next to the President at a press conference, you know it has spun out of complete control…

Trump would not know how to hold a ‘briefing’ if it jumped up and bit him on the arse. The lies, misinformation and deep state bollocks will cost lives, turning these events into campaigning opportunities to talk bollocks to his base. And as the reaction of Fauci shows us, the sincere reaction from the actual experts, who could make a difference to the outcome of this pandemic if they had a President who was not a sociopathic moron, having stand by and endure the lies and propaganda uttered by such a fool is overwhelming mortification and incredulity.

Something needs to change and change fast, peoples lives depend on it.

On the back of the revelations of republicans stock dumping cause they are huge crooks...

...Frum makes an excellent point

You know that they will be up to the top of their grubby crooked necks in this. Rich republicans with insider knowledge helping to cause the market to fall over, by dumping stock when they knew the seriousness of covid-19 and where lying to the face of the American people about it, to save themselves some shot term economic pain - to hell with everyone else - that has Trump written all over it.

Insider trading at a time of national crisis, when people are going to die. I should be shocked but at this point nothing is shocking about these awful people... anyone who has done this, and the list is growing and I am sure will continue to grow, need arrested and locked up. They cannot be allowed to get away with such blatant crookery, especially at time of national emergency.

Republicans behind bars be like...

Without truth, what is left?

Even a pathological liar can't lie themselves out of a pandemic - but he is giving it a bloody good try.

USDA fights to purge food stamps recipients despite pandemic

The Agriculture Department said Wednesday that it would appeal a judge’s ruling that it would be “arbitrary and capricious” to move forward during a global health crisis with food stamp changes that could force hundreds of thousands from the program.

Federal Judge Beryl Howell, in a ruling late last week, stopped a set of changes that would have taken effect on April 1. On Wednesday, an Agriculture Department spokesperson responded to an Associated Press query with a terse email saying only that “USDA disagrees with the court’s reasoning and will appeal its decision.”

How cruel. But then cruelty is the point. They are not going to let a pandemic stand in they way of their dystopian future...
