About Me

I am a Brit. I am a working class child of the troubles in Belfast who now lives a life of privilege. I am an anti-racist, progressive monster for truth. If I fail in being that monster, call me out....

I am beyond stressed today @ what the future holds

I thought I had reconciled myself to Brexit after Boris won such a large majority in the General Election . I saw the result as a second referendum on Brexit and lets face it Boris could not have a bigger mandate on this issue - well in England anyway. I have resigned myself to the fact that today is the last day I will be a European Citizen - probably in my life time. Who knows what the future holds but if there is a further referendum sometime in the future I will pushing up daisies before we get there.

Brexit is finally here. Global Britain it is then. 😨

Sorry, but I would maybe have a scintilla of more faith in Brexit Britain if we were not run by a bunch of right wing fuck wits, and the opposition was actually led - just led - by anyone that could provide a reasonable level of scrutiny on what these bastards on the Tory benches are up to right now. I do not think that is to much to ask in the oldest modern democracy on the planet, do you?

I said to someone once. It is not the fact that you voted for Brexit that upsets me, it is the fact that you believed that the ineffective, inept and plain awful people who rule us would in anyway be able to make a decent fist of it.

And here we are. Pass the smelling salts someone.

Pompeo rocks up telling the UK that its decision making is a risk to security. Are you kidding me?

Every single day Pompeo kisses the arse of a man who breaches the security of his own country and pretty much the rest of us multiple times every day on twitter. A man who sucks up to the worst authoritarian and totalitarian leaders in the world because he is insecure and desperate to be liked. A man who tells the ‘Supreme Leader’ (did you see that in the news yesterday??) Putin anything that he wants to know about national and international security, because he likes to be part of the bad boy gang, knowing full well that whatever he says will be shared amongst the rest of the democracy denying strongmen of the 21st Century, including China. We all know that what Trump knows at breakfast time Putin knows by teatime.

The decision made this week to use the Chinese Telecom Company Huawei to develop the 5G network in the UK, may well be a security risk, many of our leaders have made that assessment, but whatever you think of Boris and him giving China 5G business, Pompeo telling him off because of SECURITY… Is he having a laugh? The absolute nerve of the man, while he creates policy purely to try and bring about the end of days, AND while his lying, psychotic president whispers sweet nothings into the ears of and forgives horrors beyond imagination of, those who are the Wests normal adversaries (for reason).

But the UK is the Security Risk? Well that just takes the biscuit.

Starving to death in the 6th largest economy in the world

The medical cause of death was recorded as starvation.

Assistant coroner Dr Elizabeth Didcock said: "The sudden loss of all income, and the threat of eviction that followed from it, will have caused huge distress and worry, and significant financial hardship.

"It is likely that this loss of income, and housing, were the final and devastating stressors, that had a significant effect on his mental health.

"The safety net that should surround vulnerable people like Errol in our society had holes within it."

What are we if we cannot take care of our most vulnerable. He was 4 1/2 stone when he died. And of course according to the DWP it has nothing to do with them... good grief.

The Three Pillars are looking rather shaky right now...

The biggest problem that I can see - is if our our democracies are failing to live up to this, how can we expect emerging and developing countries to opt for the democratic governance model for their own countries? Why would they?

Democracy needs CPR. STAT. And the biggest injection it needs of all is pillar three... if our leaders reject (piss all over) the rule of law and trample on the human rights of 'other' democracy no longer exists in any real sense.

The perfect allegory for the Trump presidency...

Mairead McGuinness mood listening to Nigel Farage farewell speech...

No more ability for British people to live, work and study freely across Europe. No more tariff-free access to the world's largest trading bloc. No more influence at Europe's top table.

Farage and his acolytes wave the Union Jack, but they have done untold damage to our country.

'If you disobey the rules you get cut off' – Mairead McGuinness was having none of Nigel Farage's flag waving.

"Put your flags away, you're leaving... and take them with you... goodbye," says the European Parliament Vice President Mairead McGuinness to cheers from the Parliament

Did you see Farage and his enablers waving those flags and acting like complete dicks? So embarrassing for the rest of us. Not so much dropping the mic as having the mic taken from him because he is a petulant wanker and the worst kind of winner.

48 hours to Brexit and he really can piss off

DOJ Position And Trump Impeachment Argument 'Cannot Be Reconciled,' House Lawyer Argues

Oh my, what a surprise, these fuckers continue to try and get away with talking out of both sides of their lying deceitful gobs...

The filing was one in a series of from Letter regarding two cases: One case seeks to force former White House counsel Don McGahn’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, despite an order from the President; another seeks grand jury material from the Mueller probe.

The contradiction boils down to this: In the Senate impeachment trial, Trump’s defense team has argued against the “Obstruction of Congress” charge against him by saying that the courts, not the impeachment process, are the proper venue to pursue witnesses and documentary evidence that Trump has blocked from reaching congressional investigators. In short, the evidence must be litigated in court.

But in court, in the McGahn and Mueller grand jury cases, Justice Department prosecutors have argued for months that the disputes are political — not an appropriate place for the courts to step in. In short, the evidence cannot be litigated in court.

“The Executive Branch cannot have it both ways,” the Judiciary Committee said in a statement Tuesday.

Emphasis mine

Gotta to tell you, legally and judicially, in theory they should not be able to have it both ways... not sure that is going to stop them trying their damnedest though!
