Sadiq Khan calls arrest of female immigrant who reported rape 'unacceptable'

The Metropolitan Police has faced a backlash from London mayor Sadiq Khan after it arrested an alleged rape victim over her immigration status.

The unnamed woman, in her 20s, attended a police station in London to report being kidnapped and abused during time she spent in Germany, before arriving in the UK.

While giving a victim statement, she told officers she had entered Britain illegally before being taken to a centre for rape survivors.

She was then arrested on suspicion of illegal entry into the UK and taken into custody.

this is appalling

You know it is bad when even sycophant apologist Piers has a problem - But Ann Coulter still thinks

it is hunky dory

Britain First is having an orgasm of far right wing delight tonight that Trump has given them a global reach for their hatred, Islamaphobia and nasty, all based on hyperbole and nonsense. Ann Coulter who originally re-tweeted their bollocks, was on Channel Four news (UK) tonight claiming that the debunked videos were not fake, and seekers of the truth had to go to somewhere else for the truth because mainstream media is FAKE, blah blah blah.

However Piers Morgan the well known pretend liberal, who in reality, is a sexist, misogynistic, racist wanker who sucks up to the President on a regular basis felt he had to call him out for this latest nasty. You know it is bad when even one his worst enablers on this side of the pond calls him out.

We want America back?!?!

I have a theory that the Brits really won the war for Independence. You see (until recently at least) it seemed that the USA got the right wing religious nut job end of the deal. We sent all the fanatics to the colony and then bingo, independence, jobs a good un' and cheerio old chaps! However it seems I was wrong. Prince Harry getting hitched to a yank is all part of a nefarious plot to take America back! Bwwwaaaahhhhaaaaaaa

Hehehe - want America back? We are far to focused on trying to take Britain back from the 21st Century nationalist nasty

Presidential Book Club?!?! A Cockwork Orange.....

This morning on the way to work I was listening to a BBC radio 4 podcast from a programme called ‘I’m sorry I haven’t a clue’. It is a very funny comedy / satire show with some very quick witted individuals on the panel. Anyway, they did a segment called the Presidential Book Club and here is some of the genius they came up with. Books likely to be found in the Presidents library:

The Gropes of Wrath

From Russia with Love

Donald Copperfeel

Fantastic Breasts and where to find them

Gropey Dick

The Book of Moron

The Owl and the Pussy Grabber

A Cockwork Orange

20000 leaks under the CIA

How to become President for Dummies

Low Expectations

Where’s Wally?

Hehehehe

Can you add to this list of genius??

When Meghan weds Harry, Britains relationship with race will change for ever

Almost two decades ago, during the heady first months of the new millennium, an unruly baroness named Kate Gavron made a shocking suggestion. Prince Charles, she said, should have married someone black. It would be, she imagined, a powerful symbol of the monarchy’s commitment to racial integration and multiculturalism.

Gavron’s comments were not well received at the time. As is so often the case with race and the royals, far more interesting than these remarks themselves, were the media reactions to them. Some suspected this was merely a clandestine attempt at “getting rid” of the monarchy, erasing their heritage through interracial marriages. Not so much revolution, as racial dilution.
----------------------------
But we live in times defined also by identity. In recent years, the question of what it means to be British has been weaponised and politicised in new ways. Markle is, on one side of her family, directly descended from the plantation slavery of America’s Deep South - a history with which all of Britain’s powerful families, including the royals, are inextricably linked. He may not have realised it at the time, but by condemning the press reaction to his relationships with Markle, Prince Harry was aligning himself with those still dealing with the fallout of that history, and its very real legacy today.

If Prince Harry had wanted to find a way to make his role more relevant in modern Britain, he could have done a lot worse. And so while neither the reaction to his engagement to Markle, nor the reaction to the reaction, could ever have been planned, if engagements are meant to bring people together, this one is doing just that.

Really pissing off the racists! LOL

STUPID IS AS STUPID VOTES.

We don't need no pesky experts

We don't need no pesky IQ

I know that democracy means everyone gets a vote, and I am a lover in democracy, but surely democracy means people get given actual FACTS to make their decisions. When did facts become the enemy???

Cause Brexit

Cause Trump

We don't need no pesky truth.

I think she was very dangerous: Susan Sarandon still insists we would be at war if Hillary beat

In an extensive interview with the Guardian, actress Susan Sarandon reaffirmed her belief that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton posed a greater threat to the country than President Donald Trump, stating, ” I think she was very dangerous.”

Sarandon, who has taken heat for her previous comments both before the election and after Trump won in 2016, was unapologetic despite what has transpired under the Republican president.

“Well, I knew that New York was going to go [for Hillary]. It was probably the easiest place to vote for Stein. Bringing attention to working-class issues is not a luxury,” Sarandon explained. “People are really hurting; that’s how this guy got in. What we should be discussing is not the election, but how we got to the point where Trump was the answer.”

Asked about her comment before the election that Clinton was more dangerous than Trump and if she stood by it, Sarandon said she was misquoted but wasn’t bothered by the sentiment.

“Not exactly, but I don’t mind that quote,” she stated. “I did think she was very, very dangerous. We would still be fracking, we would be at war [if she was president]. It wouldn’t be much smoother. Look what happened under Obama that we didn’t notice.”

Every world is a really really old stage

The ruins of a Roman amphitheatre, Sep 2017 in Alcudia Majorca. Stunning to visit. Actors rather than gladiators and lions here! 250 BCE

Oh, the tragedy...

Racists are in for a big surprise when they see what happens to immigration after Brexit

But racists will be in for a shock, according to YK Sinha, India’s High Commissioner to the UK. There are many non-European countries around the world who would like to do trade deals with Britain once the UK is out of the EU. And one of their key demands is going to be increased immigration for their people into the UK, Sinha told The Telegraph:

"You’ve all read about issues of freer mobility of professions. That is something right up there as far as India is concerned.”

“I’m not talking about unfettered access or unrestricted travel, I’m talking about movement of professionals, movement of doctors, technicians, engineers. I think both sides will benefit from this exchange."

When asked about that, the Indian-born British founder of Cobra Beer, Lord Karan Bilimoria, told Business Insider's Adam Payne that India will indeed insist on immigration as a requirement for a trade deal. He echoed Sinha's words: “India will want the movement of professionals, the movement of doctors, the movement of engineers. Both sides will benefit from this exchange. It won’t be a one-way street,” he said.
