President Donald Trump weighed in on NFL anthem protests as a number of players knelt, raised their fists or stayed in the dressing room during the national anthem as the league’s pre-season gets underway. Trump’s claim that players are “unable to define” what they are protesting is a solid demonstration of his complete disinterest in finding out anything about the protests.

Ohio’s congressional special election on Tuesday between Republican Troy Balderson and Democrat Danny O’Connor is so close that less than 1 percent separates the winner from the eventual loser. While the race is essentially a practice run for November midterms, it was a prime opportunity to send a strong message to the Trump administration. A Democratic victory in Ohio, a state Trump won handily in the 2016 presidential election, would signal to Trump that America is tired of his bullshit.

Enter: Green Party candidate Joe Manchik.

Joe Manchik couldn’t even remember his own fucking website! And yet, Joe Manchik is also responsible for winning over 1,100 votes, or some 0.6 percent of votes that probably would have gone to O’Connor.

Donald Trump is a “racist” who has used the “N-word” repeatedly, Omarosa Manigault Newman, once the most prominent African American in the White House, claims in a searing memoir.

The future US president was caught on mic uttering the taboo racial slur “multiple times” during the making of his reality TV show The Apprentice and there is a tape to prove it, according to Manigault Newman, citing three unnamed sources.

She also claims that she personally witnessed Trump use racial epithets about the White House counselor Kellyanne Conway’s husband George Conway, who is half Filipino. “Would you look at this George Conway article?” she quotes the president as saying. “F**ing FLIP! Disloyal! Fucking Goo-goo.”

Both flip and goo-goo are terms of racial abuse for Filipinos.

Armando Frank, 44, was being arrested on a warrant for minor charges stemming from a neighbor dispute. The charges of simple criminal trespassing and attempted unauthorized entry into a dwelling and had resulted in court-ordered treatment at VA hospital.

Frank died from manual strangulation after the encounter shown in the video. In the video, a law enforcement officer climbs on the tractor behind Frank and applies a choke hold while another officer tries to pull Frank down. Frank goes limp, and the officers drag his lifeless body to a patrol car.

The Advocate had the video reviewed by Gregory Gilbertson, director of the criminal justice program at Centralia College in Washington state. Gilbertson pointed out that Frank was trying to find out what he was being arrested for and who signed the warrant. Instead, sheriff’s deputy Brandon Spillman put him in a lateral vascular neck restraint, which cuts off airflow and is therefore, “typically a last resort,” according to Gilbertson.

The winner of the contest agrees to host the next month's contest (or recruit someone else to host the contest), and pick the next month's theme. The host of the monthly contest cannot enter the contest they are hosting.
