About Me

I am a Brit. I am a working class child of the troubles in Belfast who now lives a life of privilege. I am an anti-racist, progressive monster for truth. If I fail in being that monster, call me out....

"One Sexual Predator on the SCOTUS is Enough" Sign on LA Freeway

That sign was done by @thorbites and I just wanted to share it with y’all because it’s so good.

Please note the way it’s posted in between the cyclone fencing and the railing. We call these toaster drops because they’re so easy to post on: just drop your sign in! Almost as if it was MADE for that sort of thing. Speaking of which, did you know the First Amendment protects the use of public property for the purposes of expressing your political opinion — it too seems practically tailored for the times we’re living in now.

Trump's insults against his 'hillbilly' base are making them turn on him: NYT column

New polls show that Donald Trump’s base is beginning to turn against him — and it may be related to his continual insults on their intelligence.

“A raft of new polls show that some of the most hard-core Trumpsters are starting to get a clue,” nonfiction author Timothy Eagen wrote in a New York Times op-ed published Friday, adding that the revelation is akin to “discovering that climate change is not a hoax when your town is under water, and all your commander in chief can do is throw you a roll of paper towels.”

The proof, Eagen noted, is in the polls.

He noted that according to a Quinnipiac poll released this week, a plurality of “non-college-educated whites” wish Congress would rein Trump in. He’s also “down 14 points among the ‘poorly educated’” per a CNN poll, the writer noted.

The NRA put 'Thomas the Tank Engine' in white KKK hood to protest new diverse cast

The National Rifle Association is renowned for its brash and strange social media tactics, but this latest move might be its strangest - and most offensive - yet.

Viewers of the gun rights group’s online video channel “Relentless” saw spokeswoman Dana Loesch taking Thomas the Tank Engine to task for daring to diversify its cast. Yes, really.

Responding to news that the children’s show was adding several female and international characters, she said:

They’ve decided that the next stop is Virtue Town.

The segment echoed complaints by some that the additions amounted to "politically correctness" gone mad. But it also perplexed others who wondered why the NRA is getting involved in such an obscure topic.

Even more bizarrely, the segment then showed an image of the trains from the show dressed up in KKK hoods. Mocking the diversification, Loesch said sarcastically:

Fair, I get it. Thomas the Tank Engine has been a blight on race relations for far too long.

MAGA by attacking Thomas the frigging Tank Engine?!?!?! You really cannot make this shit up
On the bright side at least the NRA are showing their true colours and not even trying to hide being racist wankers anymore

That sums up a picture which is not easy to eradicate from brain...

GOP House Candidate Rejected Medicaid Expansion So People Would Find God

Why did Republican State Sen. Mark Green of Tennessee oppose his state’s plan to expand Medicaid and provide health insurance for low-income residents using federal dollars?

According to video posted by Justin Kanew, his Democratic opponent in a U.S. House race, it’s because Green felt it would distract people from finding God. The clip comes from a speech Green made in 2015 and was part of the reason he withdrew his own nomination to be Donald Trump‘s Army secretary before his confirmation hearings. He didn’t want to be known publicly for what he thought he was saying to religious people privately.

It’s not exactly a close race in Tennessee’s 7th District. While this is an open seat, Republicans have a tremendous advantage. But Kanew is right to point out that Republicans who vote for him are basically saying they don’t mind people suffering in the name of God. That’s how Green would vote, anyway. His allegiance is to the Christian God, not the people who vote him into office.

Exactly what a theocracy does... right?

What the hell is wrong with these people?

Even when you are doing everything right - job - home - family - they still have to try and demonise when they kill you... fucking racist wankers
