About Me

I am a Brit. I am a working class child of the troubles in Belfast who now lives a life of privilege. I am an anti-racist, progressive monster for truth. If I fail in being that monster, call me out....

Mary Trump explains how former president will throw his kids under the bus

Cuomo began the interview by asking Mary Trump if her uncle would "take one for his kids" if they were investigated by prosecutors focused on criminal activity in the Trump Organization -- where both Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump are still on the payroll.

"No, he wouldn't...I think if that were to happen, if prosecutors were to go after his children, he would fully expect them to take a hit for him, to benefit him. What he probably doesn't understand is that's not really how it works. [Prosecutors] "always try to get people to flip so they can go after the bigger target," said Mary Trump.

"But Donald would never imagine in a million years that his children would do that, although I'm fairly sure they would," the former president's niece added. "So if that indeed happens, it's going to be fascinating because he would never do anything to protect them if it were at his expense."

Emphasis mine

As the legal sharks circle the Trump kids must know that they are at real risk and that unlike the average father out there, there is no sacrifice however small he would make to save his kids over himself. No way would he admit wrongdoing to ensure his kids were not gone after.

Wonder who is going to break first...

One minute they are Marxist, the next minute they are Nazi. Give me fucking strength.

It is really hard to keep up here in ethno nationalist land previously known as the UK. English footballers take the knee and and it is all about a Marxist takeover and the boos from the fans in the stand resound around the stadium, cause culture wars. But apparently it is not Marxism at all. It be Nazi. 👀

Tory MP compares England players taking the knee to Nazi salutes

Players faced boos ahead of their match against Romania last night - but vowed to continue taking the knee throughout the Euro 2020 tournament.

And in a lengthy Facebook post last night, Tory MP Brendan Clarke-Smith, compared the gesture to footballers performing the Nazi salute during a 1938 match against Germany in Berlin.

He wrote: "Following the 1936 Berlin Olympics being used as a propaganda exercise and under a great deal of pressure from both the FA and Britain’s ambassador at the time, the players were encouraged to join the hosts in making the Nazi salute prior to the match.

Not the same thing at all. Not Marxists. Not Nazi's. Just anti-racist and therefore both Marxist and Nazi. Fuck these far right racists

Democrats fear GOP will turn Jan. 6 commission into a 'circus' with Jim Jordan and Marjorie Taylor

Greene

According to one longtime Democratic lawmaker, the GOP will likely hijack the proceedings and turn them into a "circus."

"If Republicans try to make a circus of it—so they appoint Jim Jordan and Marjorie Taylor Greene and people like that—it becomes a farce," warned Rep. John Yarmuth (D-KY). "The Republican strategy was to defeat anything that had credibility, so that any investigation that had actually happened could be dismissed as partisan."

"Tim Roemer, a former Democratic congressman who served on the 9/11 commission, said even a Jan. 6 commission modeled after that gold standard—equal members and staff between the parties, members from outside Congress, space and time to do its work—would have had a hard enough road," Brodey reported, with Roemer stating, "A select committee, in an election cycle, going into the midterms, with the kind of division we see in Congress... that makes this even more difficult to do."

Of course the neo GOP would try and make a spectacle - but I fail to see how Jordan and MTG could be appointed to a committee which will be examining and requiring them to testify about their involvement in the attempted violent overthrow of the capitol - they can hardly question themselves, can they?

Oy, Manchin

Why the G7 agreement on a global corporate tax rate is a defining moment

In a major victory for both the Biden administration and the G7, global finance ministers agreed in London today (Saturday) to a minimum global corporate tax rate of at least 15 per cent.

British Chancellor Rishi Sunak, who has pledged to increase the UK rate from 19 per cent to 25 per cent by 2023, called the deal a “historic agreement.” Germany hailed it as “good news for justice and fiscal solidarity.”

The agreement is a crucial political and moral victory. Joe Biden and US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen emphasised far in advance that they wanted such a deal to halt the global “race to the bottom” on taxation that has prevailed since the Reaganite 1980s. That the G7 finance achieved this aim – something Japan had warned in advance was unlikely – is a triumph for the Biden team, which wants to raise the US corporate tax rate from 21 per cent to 28 per cent to help fund its ambitious $2trn infrastructure programme.
-----
G7 finance ministers also agreed that beneficial ownership registries – a requirement for corporations to disclose who actually owns and benefits from their activities – are essential to tackle illicit finance, and vowed to implement and strengthen them. This, too, is a win for the Biden administration, which has pledged to lead the fight against kleptocracy and corruption.

Emphasis mine.

This is a huge deal in two ways - multi-nationals are at real risk of having to actually pay taxes... about time.
But the biggest deal for me on this - Welcome back to the world stage in a real and meaningful way America! It was a long four years!

Huzzah!

In the upside down world of post Brexit Tory far right rule

Sooooooooo lets get this straight

Things not to blame for refugees attempting to cross the channel and enter the UK including but not limited to: War; Tyranny, Starvation, Pandemic, Deadly Regimes, Economic destitution, LGBTQI in danger of imprisonment, torture and death etc et al. Oh, and let’s not forget the far-right home office closing down safe legal routes to apply for asylum and the utter incompetence and vileness of the current administration. NONE of these things are to blame for the refugee situation in the channel. Of course not. Of course, it is social media to blame. Good grief.

Take back control of our borders was one of the main themes of the Brexit campaign. Not a great look, when you are sending EU students to immigration detention cause they have the wrong paperwork, while refugees are posting their arrival by boat and so deflection is a must. However, blaming TiKTok for their utter shiteness is a new one. You could not make it up.

Today, I sent this letter to Joe Biden to demand an immediate investigation into Anthony Fauci’s lies and his potential involvement in the cover up of the origins of the China virus.

The American people deserve answers on the Wuhan lab & Fauci deserves to be held accountable!

The whole letter is one yuge conspiracy fest but this takes the biscuit

The stupid, it burns...

Rioter who gave female Capitol cop a concussion has long history of beating women, Feds say

One defendant accused of assaulting a Capitol Police officer on Jan. 6 will remain behind bars after appearing before a federal judge Friday. Ryan Samsel could be moved to another prison, though, to get some medical care.

In federal court, prosecutors argued Samsel should stay behind bars in order to protect the public because of his violent history. They accuse him of coming to D.C. and assaulting a Capitol Police officer, while he already had an open warrant for assault and was on parole for a second, unrelated incident.

During the hearing, they read a letter from the Capitol Police officer Samsel is accused of assaulting. She wrote Samsel has “stolen moments” from her and “stolen months to work a job” she loves. She said she can't return to work full-time because of her injuries.

The Patriarchy brought to the Capitol violent women beaters... say it isn't so. Heh. Guarantee he is not the only one.
It cannot be lost on anyone that he beat up a female cop.

When the delusion is this cray cray...

I’m sure this is the real deal. “A high up and trusted, military source I know.” (CloutHub)
