They believe in the self-sacrifice of the many for the enrichment of a few

Since Reagan and Thatcher in the 80’s introduced to the world the ‘there is no such thing as society’ style we have been witness to the disintegration of any framework of morals and ethics that Conservatives may have once had. At this juncture, the Conservative blueprint for governance is cruelty and malice as the whole point for profit, for them. Herd immunity or not locking down early enough or opening up to early are decisions being made by Conservatives in both our lands which have led to us leading the world in per capita death toll. When they make the decisions they make, they are putting monetary advantage over the lives of citizens. It beggar’s belief how these people can put a price on a raising death toll, for power and profit, but if they don’t believe in society we can see why they would not give a shit about vulnerable people dying. They have been chipping away for the last 45 years at our fundamental rights living in a free and modern democracy. They do not believe in human rights. They believe in the self-sacrifice of the many for the enrichment of a few. We have to stop letting them get away with it.

You can’t gaslight a pandemic, but you can gaslight the fucking idiots who still think your shit doesn’t stink. You can wind them up so much that they will literally cough in the face of someone because they are wearing a face mask, that they will protest health care workers, cause, why not? They will stand in defiance of the facts and blame it all on the ‘enemy’, risking their health and life to own the libs. And the saddest part of it all is that the strongmen during this crisis have demonstrated that while they are happy to use their sycophants for their own purposes, they also expect them to be willing to die to meet their needs.

Congressman Ami Bera said last week ‘’You can’t control a virus. You can only control how you respond to it.” And good grief, across the world strongmen have proven that when the shit hits the fan they are utterly incompetent in managing a crisis. All of them. Every single one has failed in their duties to their citizens.

How they are defending this with a straight face is beyond me. I mean come on, however tone deaf they are to the public they most know how ridiculous they all sound. Of course Cummings SHOULD resign, but he won't

Against all the actual rules when Cummings and his missus came down with Covid, rather than locking down their household and quarantining in place, they hopped into the car and drove 270 miles so her elderly parents could take care of the child while they were ill. Not in the spirit or in the letter of the lockdown rules, however they will try and spin it now they have been caught with their pants down.

In another era there would not even be a question. This should be resign or be sacked situation for the most senior official in Downing Street. BUT he isn't going to resign and BoJo is not going to sack him. They are arrogant, they are entitled, they are privileged and they do not think that the rules apply to them. Even when they are the ones who wrote the rules. They do not care what we think. They do not care how we feel. They care only for power, privilege and profit and as they sit with an 80 seat majority in the House of Commons they believe they are untouchable, and they are probably right. So, IMO Cummings will not be leaving number 10. Resigning would be the right thing to do, so of course he is not doing that.
