Fox News Legal Analyst: Cohen Has Painted Potentially Grave Picture, Four Possible Trump Felonies

“He paints a potentially grave picture for the president. If the conversation he says he overheard with Roger Stone is true, then the president lied under oath, because the president swore to the accuracy of his answers to the written questions from Bob Mueller, one of which was: ‘Did you speak to Roger Stone about Julian Assange?’ Answer: No. If what Michael Cohen says is true, that the president knew about the meeting with Russian in Trump Tower in June 2016, then he lied under oath. If Cohen is being truthful and if the government can corroborate what he said today, there’s at least four potential felonies of which he has accused the President of the United States. Those are big ifs.” – Fox News legal analyst Andrew Napolitano.

Heh. Exactly that!

Labour selects just six BME candidates across 99 target seats

Just six per cent of the candidates selected so far to contest marginal seats for Labour at the next general election are from ethnic minorities.

Of 99 candidates selected in seats where Labour needs to gain fewer than 10,000 votes to win, just six were from ethnic minority backgrounds. Nine ethnic minority candidates who contested marginal seats for the party in 2017 have been replaced with white candidates.

Currently, eight per cent of MPs are from an ethnic minority background, compared with around 13.6 per cent of the UK population.

David Lammy, the MP for Tottenham who campaigns against racial inequality, said that “in the year of rising hate crime, anti-immigration rhetoric and the Windrush scandal, it’s depressing that the natural party of ethnic minorities has failed once again. Meanwhile, the Conservatives have more ethnic minority MPs rising to senior posts and cabinet roles.”

In 2017, a total of 52 ethnic minority MPs were elected, up from 41 in 2015. Of these, 32 were Labour although two – Chuka Umunna and Fiona Onasanya – have since left the party, having quit and been expelled respectively.

In South Thanet, 2017 Labour candidate Raushan Ara increased her party’s vote share by 14 per cent, but lost the subsequent selection to Rebecca Gordon-Nesbitt. In Loughborough, Jewel Miah, who slashed Nicky Morgan’s majority by nearly 5,000, lost the subsequent selection contest to Stuart Brady.

Joe Biden says family is on board with a 2020 run, he's 'very close' to decision

Former Vice President Joe Biden revealed on Tuesday that his family is on board with a 2020 run and he's "very close" to making a decision in his most direct comments to date about his thinking on jumping into the campaign.

Speaking at the University of Delaware, Biden said that he has discussed a run with his family, including his grandchildren, noting that the "most important people in my life want me to run."
"The first hurdle for me was deciding whether or not I am comfortable taking the family through what would be a very, very difficult campaign. No matter who runs, it's a very difficult campaign," he said, mentioning both the Democratic primary and a possible general election match-up against President Donald Trump.
"I'm certain about where the family is," he added. "But the second piece is that I don't want this to be a fool's errand and I want to make sure that if we do this -- and we're very close to getting to a decision -- that I am fully prepared to do it."
At one point someone in the audience shouted, "Oh God, just say yes!"

Thoughts? Should Uncle Joe go for it? He is definitely a candidate with the most recognition, on the wider, non political nerd stage... he is younger than Bernie but older than the big orange head, and there is a wee bit inside me that says, really? Old white man runs.....against another old white man.... rinse and repeat. Any chance we get to change it up? However, he is marvellous! So there is that.

Hehehehehe
