About Me

I am a Brit. I am a working class child of the troubles in Belfast who now lives a life of privilege. I am an anti-racist, progressive monster for truth. If I fail in being that monster, call me out....

Have you seen a better description of BoJo during this election?

"You see it written on Johnson’s face too, at unguarded moments: the flicker of a guilty smile, the glint of disbelief around the eyes that, yes, he really is getting away with this; the furtive shuffle, like a schoolboy shoplifter, with unearned electoral advantage stuffed down his trousers, sidling past the checkout hoping not to trigger any alarms before polling day."

Excellent, shifty shoplifter indeed.

And this...

This interview should tell you all you need to know about Boris Johnson, as Eddie Mair says "a nasty piece of work"

On offer in the bargain basement aisle...

Heh. Truth. Sold their souls for a ruble or two...

And then we have this...

A republican, russian and religious far right pincer movement on democracy itself...

This ex-KGB agent's account of how to destabilise a nation is eerily relevant

He says:
Only about 15 per cent of time money and manpower is spent on espionage as such. The other 85 per cent is what we call ideological subversion or active measures ... or psychological warfare.

What it basically means is to change the perception of reality for every American to such an extent that despite the abundance of information, no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves, their families, their community and their countries.

You cannot change their mind even if you expose them to authentic information; even if you prove that white is white and black is black.

He goes on to explain that the next stage is destabilisation.

It takes only between two and five years to destabilise a nation. What matters is essentials: economy, foreign relations, defence systems.

The following stage is "crisis".

It may only take up to six weeks to bring a country to the verge of a crisis.

After the crisis, "with a violent change in power, structure and economy" you have the "period of normalisation" which may last indefinitely.

Putins playbook 101?!?!?

Get the hell off my property!

Hehehehe. Genius!!!! And I don't even think it is photoshopped!

The UK election system needs reform, but I am thankful, that in a year where the mental well being

of the nation is under attack we do not also have to contend with the US election system.

I was reading in Axios today that the billionaires in the race currently have out spent all the other candidates combined in $$$$$$ advertising. In marked contrast with this, in the UK there are strict spending limits on how much one can splurge in the run up to the election (around $10k for the individual and $45k by the political party in each constituency). Now naughty politicians obviously try and get round the spirit of the rules, cause power, but they have very limited opportunities to do so.

There is one particular reason that this spending limit works. I am sure most of you know this already but the UK election season only lasts 6 weeks from beginning to end. When your nation is already a basket case because of austerity and Brexit having to go through the torture of a Primary Season and Election that seems to last for years, would I fear send our nation over the edge. I honestly don’t know how you manage to stay sane my friends.

Six weeks seems like six years at the moment… but for us it will be over soon, one way or the other.

'Disrespects everybody in uniform': Ex-Navy Secretary buries Trump for celebrating war criminals

“I think the impact is huge, because if people know that there’s not going to be any accountability or that you’ll be held accountable only if you don’t have the right contacts or only if your politics are right… you just can’t diminish that impact because the military depends on the chain of command,” he explained. “The military depends on good order and discipline. The military depends on doing what’s right, following the law. ”
“It shows that he does not care for the tens of thousands of Americans who have gone into combat, protecting this country, who have done so honorably, who have done so without breaking any laws,” he said. “And to do this, to say that you can commit war crimes and get away with it, to say it doesn’t matter what you do, fundamentally misunderstands and fundamentally disrespects everybody in uniform.”

And everyone who has served honourably knows this... it is an insult and an attack on the integrity on those who do serve with honour... and lets face it - only a Trump cultist would think committing war crimes was OK as long as you are a Trump supporter, in fact lets go one step further and say the characteristics of a Trump supporter would lend them to be the exact type to commit war crimes - as they are without any ethical or moral framework, as far as I can tell,

When your feeling of White Supremacy really does not pay off...

Hehe. This truth must drive him insane, he could be living in all his tacky nouveau riche glory acting like a predator and no-one giving a shit... instead he is a serious downward comparison to the first black president, any reputation he had has been destroyed beyond repair and when he leaves office he will undoubtedly face criminal prosecutions and will potentially spend years in jail...
SO MUCH WINNING.. Trump white supremacist nasty hubris be like...

The STUPID. It Burns. Burns Like Acid...

trump wants to know why it took a hundred years for someone to make a centennial coin, and keep in mind that his base is even dumber than this

Literally speechless on the stupidity of this man

Dan Rather.... 'they [repubs] are doing the bidding of Vladimir Putin'

I can remember on newsvine (my old site) in 2016 how quickly the cons reversed their position on Russia. Literally one day, commie russkis bad, next day...heh, they are OK... 3 years later. This.

Judge rules former White House counsel McGahn must obey House subpoena to testify

Former White House counsel Don McGahn can no longer avoid testifying in the House of Representatives’ impeachment inquiry.

A judge ruled on Monday that McGahn cannot continued defying a subpoena, dealing a major blow to the White House’s efforts to keep its former top lawyer from testifying.

McGahn is a key witness to President Donald Trump’s potential obstruction of justice, as he testified under oath that the president gave him orders to fire special counsel Robert Mueller and then ordered McGahn to cover up this order by creating a falsified record that would contradict his own sworn testimony.

Oh my ....

And it all falls down!
