He's now clarifying that saying, according to Flynn, candidate Trump asked him during the campaign to find ways to repair relations with Russia and other world hot spots. And then after the election, the president-elect asked him to contact Russia on issues including working together to fight ISIS."

Adopting populist economic policies like those championed by Senator Bernie Sanders will keep the Democratic Party locked out of power, according to a report published Tuesday by centrist think tank Third Way.

The report, based on findings of online focus groups with voters who switched support from Barack Obama in 2012 to Donald Trump in 2016, as well as persuadable African-American, Latino and millennial voters, urges Democrats to instead become “the jobs party.”

The report comes amid much soul searching within the Democratic Party following its crushing losses last November in the presidential election, as well as those for the House, Senate and state legislatures. In the aftermath, a battle is being waged over the party’s direction between establishment moderates and progressive firebrands like Sanders and Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren.

The takeaway from Third Way’s three-day focus groups, conducted by polling company Global Strategy Group in May, was that the party has lost touch with its core message in recent years.

"House approves spending bill with funds for Trump's border wall"

"The House approved a national security-themed spending package on Thursday that includes $1.6 billion to start building President Trump’s proposed border wall.

The $827 billion package passed largely along party lines, with a vote of 235-192. Five Republicans voted no, while five Democrats voted yes.

The five Republicans to vote against the package were Reps. Justin Amash (Mich.), John Duncan Jr. (Tenn.), Walter Jones (N.C.), Thomas Massie (Ky.) and Mark Sanford (S.C.).

Five centrist Democrats voted in favor: Reps. Sanford Bishop (Ga.), Charlie Crist (Fla.), Josh Gottheimer (N.J.), Tom O’Halleran (Ariz.) and Kyrsten Sinema (Ariz.)."

What do I do? I had not really engaged them before on politics, so I had no idea. I never would have guessed that they voted for the bafoon. They were democrats before and were complaining about Hillary and her email server, blah blah blah...Were angry about the supposed 33k deleted emails.... Also said that their main focus was the economy and jobs and they think Trump was the person to fix that..... What do i do? I'm seriously considering cutting them off. They are my cousins but I seriously don't know if I can be around them anymore....
